Anybody know what this movie scream is called? It's the most famous movie scream after the Wilhelm Scream.
An example of the scream I'm talking about is below in this clip from "Broken Arrow" where Howie Long gets kicked to his death from the train and does the scream I'm talking about as he's falling.

What's interesting is that the Wilhelm scream was said to be performed by Sheb Wooley, the guy who sung Purple People Eater.
I like short shorts!

Prime etc. Sheb Wooley is also one of the bad guys in High Noon and was a regular on tv's Rawhide.

As I'd never heard of the Wilhelm Scream, I had to check it out. Sounds kinda goofy after the first few listens! But thank you, kind sir, for helping me along with my movie history education.
I always liked the stock scream they always used on "Charlie's Angels". It was ultra feminine and high pitched and they most often handed it out to Jill or Kelly, though all of the Angels could be heard doing that scream, except for Sabrina, who probably thought it sounded ridiculous and over the top (it was, but it was fun) and preferred to put her own vocal cords to the test!
Of course, this isn't a movie scream, it's a tv show scream, but I like it.
Now, the best scream of all time would have been something courtesy Veronica Cartwright, who when she was scared, she was scared.... Either that or Susan Backlinie, "Chrissie" from JAWS. Or maybe even Ellen Burstyn, who displayed some impressive vocal power in at least a couple of films.
