I see. Yeah thats such a soft way to lose an eye. Originally in the comics he lost it in WWII as a member of the Howling Commandos, didn't he?
Different Fury. The MCU Fury is based on te Ultimate Comics version which in turn was modeled after Samuel L Jackson. That Fury injured his eye in an explosion in Kuwait during the Gulf War The Howling Commandos Fury injured his eye in a grenade attack. Similarly to the MCU Fury, it seems the eye was lost through neglect/not the proper treatment.

Or in Nick Fury's case: Cat got your eye? LOL!!!
Fury getting his eye scratched out by a house pet is as lame as Ronan the Big Bad Destroyer getting defeated by a silly Dance-Off.

Ladies and Gentlemen the comedy stylings of DC-Fan. Not sure which is funnier..the fact that you thought your joke was funny, or that you thought it was worthy of it's own thread.

That twist really pissed me off and really undermines his entire character. Didn't piss me off, but I agree it takes a badass mystery and turns it into a gag. Fury in general seems like a different character in this film than in the rest of the MCU. He's a ruthless SOB from his introduction in IM and throughout the rest of the films; and though a lot could've happened between 1995 and 2008, Pierce in TWS makes it sound like Fury's always been that way.

Do you think the cat could kill Thanos too? Maybe give him toxoplasmosis by pissing in his Red Bull while he isn't looking? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/gf93ycxax/giveup.gif)

I agree. I liked the movie, but didn't like the cat or the fact that this is how Nick lost his eye.

I just thought it would be have been cool if it were a Skrull disguised as one of his allies the whole movie till the end when it reveals himself and slashed his eye in a fight.

I dont even get how he lost his eye? Apparently, his eye got scratched out by a house pet. Alien tentacle creature that ate was it 3 Kree warriors & the Tesseract? Isn't that like calling the Sarlacc an antlion?

It could probably swallow Thanos. The glove also shouldn't be an issue.

I knew it had tentacles inside, but I envisioned more rope like. This was downright Sarlacc/more octopus mouth-like. It was way more nasty than I expected
