I would say it was appropriately rated. Decent 1x viewing flick though nothing special. Still can't believe it had any sequels

I also think it is rated rather appropriately. It has a slight cult following, which feels earned. It's definitely the best of the post-Scream teen slashers.

Meh. Can't say I'm a fan. It was one of those late 90s flicks that attempted to emulate Scream and ended up feeling bland and repetitive.

It's a shame it came out in that era because it has a really clever concept that could make for a creepy film, but it's watered down with its dumb, meta comedy and injokes.

I really enjoyed Rebecca Gayheart's Performance in the Movie.
Especially after she reveals herself as the Killer.

Yeah, RG's performance--I never thought the Clearasil girl could be presented in such a fashion towards the end but it worked.

I liked the first one but I didn't care much for the sequels.

I like it due to nostalgia. Not the greatest slasher. But I've seen far worse. Surprisingly the gore is kinda tame tho it has some. Like "Valentine" But it's not a total dealbreaker.
*spoilers*
A bit surprised we don't see blood gush on the window or get to see Sasha's dead body afterwards. Cleanest kill with an axe ever?

If you don't mind me asking you this below then....
What did you think of the twist of Brenda (Rebecca Gayheart) being the Killer ?

As a Teen in 1998 I was surprised.
*spoilers* I remember wondering how she managed to do so much being so thin and short etc. I guess I chalked it up to her having muscles from Swimming so much. I still love how zany she gets once Natalie wakes up tied up.
It's a shame she accidentally ran over a kid irl. When she lectured Natalie about killing her Boyfriend it's a bit eerie to me in hindsight.

It was Most Definitely very very sad and a complete tragedy and she absolutely deserved the punishment that she got for it (and maybe a little more).
Still though when it comes to her performance in the Movie itself, I actually think that she did a pretty darn good job playing a Psychotic Serial Killer.

I liked it. I am not sure if I would say it was underrated back when it first came out 'cause there were a lot of people talking about it here who liked it but compared to other Horror movies that came out in the late 90s and early 00s like 'Scream', 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and 'Final Destination' which are often praised as being some of the best of those two decades I would say 'Urban Legend' doesn't get the acknowledgement it deserves now.

I liked the first one but I didn't care much for the sequels. I didn't mind the second movie with Jennifer Morrison out of 'Once Upon A Time' as the main star but the third one, 'Bloody Mary' was very disappointing in my opinion and I remember reading somewhere 'Urban Legend' was originally meant to have as many sequels as 'Final Destination' got and was going to be an ongoing Horror franchise throughout the 00s but the failure of the third killed all the plans they had for it and they decided to put it on the shelf. I heard there are plans to reboot the franchise but nothing is official yet.
