What is the most ridiculous or specious attack against Captain Marvel that you heard or seen???
The "Brie comparison to Hitler" tweet, triggered male crybabies crying for a boycott against Captain Marvel that failed but still trying desperately trying to spin a 150+Million Dollar opening weekend (better than WW) as a disaster/failure for the MCU, and the trolls using the RT reviews to attempt at dragging the movie (despite many of these same trolls constantly pushed the fraudulent "Disney pays off the RT critics/reviewers" rhetoric/spiel)  Or do you have any others???

What makes you think this is ridiculous or specious? It's pretty clear that there are/were different factions working to manipulate the ratings and reactions for various reasons pro and con, just like there are on many of these movies where hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in something where a three day window can make or break them.
For me it was the contention that Brie Larson was 'wooden.' For chrissake she was playing a military officer who'd been mind-wiped and then indoctrinated by the Kree who seem to want to turn stoicism into an art form. In that context she showed plenty of personality and was fun to watch.

Never even knew about the Brie=Hitler comparison. I think the whole fanfare and hysteria has played into the hands of Captain Marvels good opening weekend. Really, what was the last movie to suffer a lot during its opening wide release from any sort of negativity? Except Kevin Spaceys last mainline movie of course which made like $170 lol.

Saw one YouTube MRA video claiming victory because CM made slightly less than Aquaman in it's opening weekend in China. It out-performed Aquaman pretty much everywhere else, but making a couple million dollars less in China is apparently proof that "Captain SJW" totally failed. |

saw a future prediction on a comment on facebook trailer. It went something like. No one said that CM opening weekend would be effected. It's the second weekend that's going to be trashed. Proof will be the drop off that the Boycott worked. Anything over a 50% drop will be proof it worked.

prompted a certain board member to claim they compared the film to a Happy Days lunchbox and therefore calling it another kiddie film
