 Though I often get the plot of TFTSS mixed up with The Apartment (1960), I have heard Shirley MacLaine say that Mitchum was her favorite actor to work with. The two co-starred in two movies, this one and What a Way to Go! (1964).
Shirley MacLaine and Jack Lemon were in three together: The Apartment (1960), Irma la Douce (1963), and Forever Hollywood (1999).
