You can show the most violence scenes ever made here but god forbid if you see a nipple. No, you can not show the most violent scenes ever. I've removed plenty of non-nude images that were much too graphic for this forum. The problem with your argument is that it will not change the rules for pornography. So whether or not you realize it, you're actually asking for more censorship. The irony is entertaining, though.

I agree I agree btw. We are an outwardly violence obsessed culture, but nudity and sex...that must be kept from the public. It's backwards thinking.

I agree btw. We are an outwardly violence obsessed culture, but nudity and sex...that must be kept from the public. It's backwards thinking. It truly is! Especially in movies! Parents, for the most part, seem to be okay with their children seeing people get shot, stabbed, thrown off of some building, or any form of violence just as long as there's no blood shown. But they freak out if their children see some woman's bare breasts or anyone's bare butt. Meanwhile, there are constant mass shootings, police brutality, and countless other violent crimes happening, yet parents are more worried about their children seeing someone nude?! As you said, this is backwards thinking.

If we're going to equate sex with violence in regards to censorship, should we allow both or censor both? Allow both, within reason. I think full censorship is a horrible thing. In terms of TV and movies, it still depends on the rating though and the rating should reflect the content. If a show like the X-Files is able to show disturbing violent content then it should also be allowed to show nudity. Even more ridiculous than not allowing nudity on TV is not allowing f-bombs. I don't know if this site has certain rules it has to abide by from outside forces, but I think both should be allowed within reason. Based on what I have seen here most people don't really seem to have much urge to post images or gifs of either though, so it's a bit of a moot point.

Actually, you don't have to imagine; just take a look at any other forum that's not moderated. Not a pretty site. So, "full censorship" is horrible thing, but "no censorship" won't work either because it should be "within reason." Where is the line drawn? And if it can't be agreed upon, should the line be drawn at all?

I read your PM to me and I know that your angry and disappointed with me and I am truly truly sorry.
As I said in My Reply PM to you, I only did this because I saw the other threads on the FILM GENERAL Board which have been up for a few weeks now and I thought that that kind of topic (Movie and TV Show Actresses) was okay now.
I am very very sorry.

Because it depends on individual opinion in terms of a site like this that is for all ages on what should be allowed for all ages to see, an answer to the question is near impossible. I personally think you have been doing a great job. I was just chiming in on the hypocrisy that the other user was pointing out in general. In terms of simply discussing nudity in film like anthonyrocks, I personally don't see any reason to not allow that.

If you feel the need to include in your OP a line such as "PLEASE NO PHOTOS, MOVIE/TV STILLS, or GIFS or ANYTHING LIKE THAT AT ALL," then are you acknowledging that seed while blatantly ignoring the simplicity of my signature:

There weren't any Warnings for it before that Photo had been posted.

I think if people are aware that is is against the rules to post a nude image though, that just talking about nudity should be allowed. Then again there are complexities to being a administrator that I am unfamiliar with. I just think that not allowing a discussion of something because of what MIGHT happen is walking a fine line in terms of censorship. I am personally not a fan of nudity discussions, because it just seems pointless to me. I don't care what actress has shown nudity in whatever film. It's an immature topic.

This thread is still here. I know, which is why I am confused as to what anthonyrocks is talking about. He acts like he pissed you off in some way. "No_Socks_Here" posted a photo on Page 1 yesterday showing Meryl Streep revealing 1 of her Breasts.
I and another Poster both replied to him telling him that Nudity is not allowed to be shown here on IMDB2 and that he needs to delete that photo, I also sent him a Private Message telling him as well.
As of this morning, he still hadn't replied back to my PM or removed the photo and so I then went a head and informed The Admin about it.
The Admin then replied back to me a few hours later and while I would rather not say what it says, I got the mistaken impression from it that he was mad at me since it took place in a thread that I made.
Anyway, It is done and over with now.

I can guarantee that he posted the image knowing full well that nudity isn't allowed, hence the argument that me and the Admin were having about tempting such people by making posts such as yours. I stand by that it is not your fault that people like to break the rules. Thanks for clearing that up.
