He really doesn't have to be! All that matters to him is that he is obeyed.
So true. ![](http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/imdbv2/imdbsmileys/cry.gif) Sorry, man, what am I being "obeyed" out? I expect random synapse-firing out of Ada, but let's hear your reasoning, here.

Well now, you start a thread about Assad, doing your best to portray him as a butcher of innocent children, and hot damn! Your little minions can't jump in to agree with you fast enough. Maybe that's not the kind of obedience awhina meant, but it's the kind that occurred to me.

Ah, I see. They're not disagreeing with you because of their own convictions, it's because there were ordered to do so.
It's another conspiracy.
Perfectly rational, Erjen. Nothing sudsy about that at all. Ada certainly is good for your mental health.

How come you don't know that it's no more a civil war than the Vietnam war was? The anti-Assad faction doesn't consist of actual Syrians at all, but a mélange of American-led mercenaries many or most from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
The Vietnam War was not a civil war. North and South Vietnam were separate nations. NO SHIT Sherlock! That was my point, yet I've come across your fellow Americans who thiink the Vietnam war was a civil war... ![](http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/imdbv2/imdbsmileys/sigh.gif)

It's an opinion piece that provides no evidence that the Assad regime didn't carry out these latest attacks. When I gave you actual evidence of Assad regime atrocities earlier in this thread and asked you to provide evidence for your claim you didn't even do me the courtesy of responding. Perhaps you'd care to refute this evidence of "propaganda": Those are statements and reports compiled by internationally respected agencies based on observers on the ground and eye witness testimony, the details of their reports runs into thousands of pages. Now how is that more valid than one journalists article expressing his opinion,a journalist I might add who's never set foot in Syria in his life. Who to believe.

Thanks, awhina. My heart goes out to Peter Hitchens. It must have sucked to have Christopher for a brother.

Thanks, awhina. My heart goes out to Peter Hitchens. It must have sucked to have Christopher for a brother. Yes, he's written about their relationship, which was always hostile up until the end... It's very sad...

I find it's a common mark of the irrational that they can't quite bring themselves to believe that anybody can honestly disagree with them. If a person disagrees, it must be because they're evil, satanic, etc.

Maybe it's just comforting to pretend umpteen voices saying "I disagree" is actually only one guy somehow making them do so.

It also plays into their "hero" narrative. They see themselves as purveyors of truth. How can you disagree with truth unless you're a bad guy?

His people have not turned against him? You do know a civil war is a war two factions within the same country right? How come you don't know that it's no more a civil war than the Vietnam war was? The anti-Assad faction doesn't consist of actual Syrians at all, but a mélange of American-led mercenaries many or most from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
I know this is futile but do you have actual information to back up this claim? The United States did not get involved in Syria for nearly two years after it started. Actually the Vietnam war was a civil war. French Indochina as it was called was split up at the end of Japanese occupation during WWII when Ho Chi Minh occupied the north and forced the French to give up claims to Vietnam. Yes the north and south were separate countries but then so was the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. You really should learn some history.

No, I weigh less and I'm slightly better looking, although Alex Jones has a much tougher-sounding voice than me.

I figured she was thinking of the US part of it, rather than the full thing. So I was actually wrong. 🙊
