Telling instead of showing AKA the Nolan technique. Really? Because Batman Begins really went in deep into Bruce’s backstory with it’s flashback, which is the complete opposite here.

So that we don't have a barrage of thread just containing a video (which lets be honest most won't even bother to watch) let's try and add some opinion or explanation of what they're saying and what it is were agreeing, disagreeing, arguing etc with.

But why? It's much easier to post a video instead of properly articulating my own opinion. And these videos prove conclusively that my opinion is correct.

Me, me, me, me, me, me.
That's all #2 ranted. He has watched Marvel in theater since he was 8 with Ironman (so he's under 20? Is that why he thinks the world should be all about him?) He didn't know anything about Danvers & it sounds like he didnt GET anything about Danvers. He didn't want to.
I played that game. My kid tried to get me to like Venture Brother so we watched an ep together. I didnt want to lkke it so I looked for crap to hate.
It's really easy to do.
But when I go to a movie, I'm looking to enjoy it so I tend to enjoy them. Hereditary I hated. Damn, I hated that one. My kid REALLY wanted to see it so we went. It was EVERYTHING I hate about horror films. It was horrible, horrible, horrible. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Edited too much? Hello, little boy. EVERYONE KNOWS Whedon edited the HELL out of Avengers. He had to cut an entire Captain America plotline because Marvel wanted it a certain length.
Instead, boyyo is whining about 5 cuts in 2 minutes or whatever.
WHATEVER.
HE is looking for the story to do something, not to see a story unfold & to ne entertained.
Me, me, me, me.
The world revolves around him.
Talos wasnt the villain. Didnt get that? Sorry, boyyo.
Realizinv her life was a lie WASN'T HER LIFE.
She was a kidnap victim for 6 years. She apparently felt there was a clash in places.
This movie FREED her. Allowed her to be herself. She doesn't HAVE to play by the rules the Kree made for her.
She is off om a mission of self-discovery when the movie ends. When we see her again, she will know who she is better because people wont be there telling her her first instincts are wrong.

She-Ra had a very similar premise and it showed the protagonist contemplating about the fact she was lied to for years. That’s what this movie should have done.

Im sorry you think all women must experience the same journey. We don't We are as different as the male population Not unlike the numerous male heroes in Marvel who have traveled their different routes on their hero's journey. So the BASICS for Captain Marvel have been kicking around for 5 years, 3 years prior to your He-man whatever. Do I have a bad attitude about He-Man? Yeah. My childhood was the 60s. Speed Racer, Flintstones, Aquaman, Superman, Marvel Super Heroes. They fought. They beat the bad guys He-Man was something I read about how there could be no conflict, no pow, bop, boom which sounded RIDICULOUS It was a cheap rip-off that I, as a 22 yr old gal working in a laundry didnt have time to care about. And, yeah, Carol had her powers & mind wiped by Rogue so everyone tells me in the time after I had a baby & got too busy for comics in the 90s. But mind-fuck is part of Carol's story.

"Don't look back, it's just a waste of time" Can't change the past. Can only learn from it & move forward. I have known far too many people STUCK on an event. They don't move forward. Evolve or go extinct

#1 Right off the bat he hates it. You can tell. Objective list? Worst thing about Captain Marvel was Captain Marvel 1-skrull (using a picture of shrek with black marker lines) 2-cat (garfield) 3- shit (poop emoji) 4 - several layers of shit (lots of emojis) 5 - Samuel L Jackman.(ok. This disqualifies him. Is it black wolverine?) 6 - black friend (picture of large black woman. Stereotype much? Not to mention she was also in the air force)
... Do NOT parade Cap & Thor as examples of overcoming adversity This guy DOESN'T GET THEM.
Thor is a REDEMPTION STORY. Odin tells him he has forgotten what he was taught. Thor calls daddy an old man. Daddy strips him of his power. Thor remembers what he was taught by daddy & has his power restored for getting an "A" on the test. Not GRANTED. RESTORED.
Humility remembered.
I can't even begin to straighten out how WRONG he got Cap.
Cap's heart, his moral compass was always there. His body was lacking & the army recruiter stamping his paper 4F has nothing to do with how Steve overcame his 4F status. Erskine's formula did. But the formula amplified Steve's goodness which he already possessed. Schmitt was a bad person which is why it amplified his inner ugliness.

Sorry. Thor wanted treats which brought Kili & Illadyn.
And Kili is cleaning up her uncle Thor's uneaten treats.
Yeah! Kitties!
So... Cap is not allowed to be a soldier because he is too expensive. As Jones says, they wanted an army of super soldiers & only got 1. Steve hears Bucky, his lifelong friend, was captured so Cap goes to save him. Everyone else is a bonus.
It's Civil War version 1.
Hulk was Banner trying to make the super soldier formula. Abomination was another super soldier failure.
Because Steve is a Good Man.
It is interesting this guy picks the 2 protectors. Who told Stark he couldn't make the IM suit?
Who told Lang he couldnt be Ant-Man? I distinctly recall Pym tricking Lang into stealing the suit.
So video guy's pattern doesn't exist.
Ohmygod.
I'm only 2 minutes in?
She stands up.
HEY DUDE, MOST GALS I KNOW HAVE BEEN SLAPPED DOWN, TOLD WE AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH It gets discouraging.
IT RESONATES WITH MANY OF US. Sorry it doesn't resonate with you, male jerk.
Back in the 80s I used to say most men are jerks because that was my 20-something existence. "Man makes your hair grey. He's your life's mistake All you're really looking for is an even break. He lies right at you. You know you hate this game. Slaps you once in awhile & you live & love in pain. You cry alone at night too often. He smokes & drinks & don't come home at all."
So because this MAN can't understand what women dealt with in the military in the 80s (when he obviously saw 1st avenger's boot camp crap), he can't understand her struggle. Miss the segment where the guy says there's a reason it's called a cockpit? Meaning one NEEDS A COCK TO FLY.
Ok?
Only 4 minutes in?
Jude Law is the bad guy.
In the beginning they are telling her to not use her energy blasts because they are controlling her.
At the end, she has realized SHE DOESN'T NEED TO PLAY BY THEIR RULES.
It was very cool. Sort of like Indy shooting the sword guy in Raiders. Do you boo that?
Yeah, Indy's a guy.
Wait.... I thought Quill overcame his flaws so how did Thanos use Peter's emotions against him?
Women are seen as too emotional. In Carol's case, the emotions might help her remember Mar-Vell & her life on earth.
...
This guy is really annoying.
I don't think I can finish.
Yon-Rogg is Carol's kidnapper. The Kree keep her prisoner. As sad & horrible that is is that they mind raped Bucky in Winter Soldier & Civil war, this video guy must be all for Bucky's treatment, being forced to fight against his will.
Because its the same, really. Bucky gets Wakanda to save him. Carol saves herself from Kree control.
Why are so many guys losing it?
I'm stopping at the 7.44 mark. He's a jerk.
