Are there any movie franchises that you've only seen the first film from, but haven't seen any of the sequels, prequels, remakes, etc.?
For example, I've seen and liked Halloween 1978, but I haven't seen any of the sequels, Rob Zombie films, or even the 2018 film.

I only saw the first Pirates of the Caribbean film. I thought it was OK, but wasn't impressed enough to see any of the sequels.

I have seen the remake, but none of the direct sequels to the original. The original is pretty good, but it didn’t get me in any rush to see the rest, but I will eventually. I should have mentioned Return of the Living Dead as well, which I forgot. |

Phantasm (1979)en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantasm_(film)I saw it just a few years ago on DVD... When I was a kid, I saw a movie on TV, which I only remember parts of, and I don't know the name of it... I've never been able to track the film down, but, I thought this movie might possibly have been what I had seen... I decided that if this movie wasn't the film that I remembered... It still might possibility be good, because it was the first film of a five film franchise... It wasn't the film that I was looking for, and I didn't enjoy it. No sequels for me.

Harry Potter. I saw, and liked, the first film. Didn't love it.
