" Who the hell does this dickhead think he is," not fawning all over MCU IP like the shill access media??!!! My god, what an annoying little man. Would that be a neckbeard? What was up with that room? It screamed "I don't get laid" Honest, I have a lot of figures, but he has so many, its not even enjoyment. Its all crammed in. "Got it, need it" etc. So angry. Did he actually see CM? Because he said he would watch WW multiple times before he watched a nano-second of CM. So Roy Thomas's bitch was they changed the Skrulls? Yeah, it looks like Marvel has done that. God knows Thomas should understand comics ret-conning crap. There's even no saying they can't be evil. This small group of refugees could be just that & they could still reveal bad ones exist. Right now the Kree are pretty bad. We saw Kree siding with Ronan try to destroy Xandar when the Kree had already forged a peace treaty. So just because Roy Thomas preferred WW really doesn't change the fact the WW movie stole large plot points from First Avenger. Thomas is a Silver Age fanboy So one can see why he would appreciate WW. But that neckbeard is too angry for words. The sort of dude one should really avoid. Avoid fanatics.

I mean, even I have to admit that Wonder Woman was better.
But why compare the 2? Just to bring Captain Marvel down?

Everybody has their own opinion. While I personally agree with the opinion that WW is better than CM, do I put more weight from the creator? Not really. If the creator's opinion matters then I would dislike the movie The Shining as Stephen King didn't like it. I like the book better, but there is no denying the awesomeness of the movie.

I mean, even I have to admit that Wonder Woman was better. But why compare the 2? Just to bring Captain Marvel down? Well Thomas has written for both the big two, DC and Marvel, so comparisons between two characters and their content is not out of the realm of possibility and that both Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel are both female driven superhero origin movies and he not only related Captain Marvel to Wonder Woman but also to Black Panther, another Marvel movie. I would have to agree with him about the Skrulls in the movie, the Kree/Skrull feud shouldn't have been so black and white, no group of people are all going to be good or bad its just not, dare I use the word, realistic. And by painting all the Skrulls as all misunderstood, defenseless, and really all full of good hearts it'll be kind of hard to imagine some being very bad people in later movies, especially if we're talking about the Fantastic Four. On that note I hope and I pray Roy Thomas as well as Jim Starlin(Long shot but would be worth it) are brought on as a consultants for the next Captain Marvel movie and anything cosmic related in future MCU movies, much rather the filmmakers wish to pay respects to their works and their advice than Kelly Sue DeConnick and Mark Waid. ---------------------------------------------------------- P.S. DC-Fan friendly reminder that liking this comment means that you agree with a "dumb mcu fan" which is what you described me as quite a few times in the past, the term to describe such behavior is hypocrisy.

My kid wants to see the new Pet Semetary, but I am used to King's stories being made into crappy films. Usually, his more grounded stories translate better to film with some exceptions both ways. The more fantastical stories need a lot more screen time. King is great at lulling the reader slowly into believing and trusting the story with his common voice. You really can't do that in 2hrs. Also some of his more far out work visually doesn't work, but works in your imagination. Saying all that I'll see Pet Sematary in the theaters. I personally don't mind the change of Ellie dying rather than Gage as changes have to be done in remakes or you re-tell the same story over and over. I don't know how I feel about Zelda looking like a licker from Resident Evil though.

I don't need a 80 year old white dude that created Captain Marvel to tell me what didn't work about Captain Marvel. It wasn't made for him.

I liked Wonder Woman initially and even bought it on home media. I've tried watching it on at least three separate occasions since then and, I never get more than halfway through it. I either drift away from the screen and start multitasking or fall asleep. That's no reflection on the film of course but, I find Gadot's accent strangely fatiguing. Good on him that he can stay awake for the whole presentation.

Is he not entitled to his opinion? Seriously, dude, you need to stop acting like such a child. Soz, bro, my bad. The creator's opinion isn't as important as the opinion of the author of Game of fucking Thrones. The concern is more the fans. There are some anime adaptations out there that have precious little to do with the manga they are based on, but the manga-kas don't care. They see their stories as their stories but the anime is the anime creator's work. Witness Kare Kano/His & Her Circumstances

I like both movies. Both have their advantages and disadvantages but I think they are about equal for me as far as entertainment value.

Just out of curiosity, how old do you think the OP is? Is he an adult? If so, how sad is this? These guys that scour the internet for negative takes on a movie and relentlessly post them here; do you think their personal lives are lacking anything?
I didn't like Mission Impossible: Fallout. Hated it, in fact. I made a lengthy post about it in a review thread for the film on this site, only to realize after the fact that the rest of the folks in the thread loved it. I didn't argue with anyone. One guy tagged me and agreed with part of my assessment despite loving the rest of the film. I acknowledged the few things I thought the film did well and that was that.
Aquaman. It was terrible. At worst it's a bad knockoff of a Marvel flick. Even if you loved it, you have to admit it's a knockoff of a Marvel film. Anyway yeah, didn't like it at all. I'm sure I mentioned it in a review thread on the DC board. You know what I didn't do in either case? Return to the threads for those respective films day after day, hour after hour, for weeks on end, posting negative video clips. First of all I'm not a miserable *beep*; second of all, I don't see what the point would be. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't prove anything (other than you're a miserable *beep*).
People have different tastes and that's fine; but if you don't like it, walk away. You expressed your opinion, what else is there to say? I don't want to think about Aquaman or MI Fallout. If I'm going to have a discussion about films, I'd rather talk about the movies I actually like. I have exactly zero posts on the Transformers board, because those are some of the worst movies in existence. It all seems so counterintuitive to me, obsessing over stuff you don't like.
I know, welcome to the internet and all that. I've been around. I just need to point this out every once in a while. I figure maybe if these guys take a minute for some self-evaluation they'll realize how pathetic this is. Legitimately getting angry about movies; angry about the success or acceptance of movies you don't like. Seriously, consider your life priorities. Have you considered therapy? Even if this is your therapy, it's not healthy and you're not going to lift yourself out of the darkness of self-loathing and depression by trying to drag others down with you. Lighten up, yeah? Make some changes. You can start by accepting that no matter how many goofy video clips or review excerpts you post, the people who enjoyed the film are still going to enjoy the film. The movie was still a success financially and critically, even if Larry the blogger from Wisconsin hated it or the guy who created the character thinks another film was superior.
Good luck guys, I'm not giving up hope that you can still turn your lives around.

Good luck guys, I'm not giving up hope that you can still turn your lives around. First of all, I agree this thread is a waste of time and I only created it in reaction to another thread starter which I consider to be even more pathetic. I even referenced it in the OP. Sorry it went over your head.
Secondly, you may not spend that much time hating on movies but you do seem to spend an awful lot of time hating on and whining at the people who hate them. Maybe that is something you should be thinking about?
Good luck, I'm not giving up hope that you can still turn your life around. Compare my presence on this site or even this board to yours. The majority of my posts are in positive interactions about topics I enjoy. Now consider how much time you spend scouring the internet for videos like this one that help you prove to yourself you aren't a complete failure. When I start following you around and posting videos about how much a loser you are (the way you do with this film), you'll have a comparison to make. Until then, you'll have to keep trolling message boards to fill the void in your wasted life. The fact that you felt it necessary to counter someone's positive review with a negative one says it all. Well, that and the "I know you are but what am I," defense you opted for here. Solid argument, boss. Keep fighting the good fight.
