I'm a big fan. It's well shot, has a great score, good performances, and I really like the story too. It's also very intense at times.

Just re-watched it last year, was the first time I'd seen it in a long time. It's aged pretty well, still an engrossing movie.

I was let down at the time. Contrary to its reputation, I didn't find it thrilling or sexy or even unkind to gays. I've never believed Catherine Trammel as this irresistible lamia who makes men sweat by her very presence.
I saw it again recently so I could listen to Camille Paglia's commentary track. She likes it a lot -- and is generally a hoot -- so I probably liked it better because of that.
She has a great small book on The Birds.

March 22nd 2013 is the last time I viewed it which I think was my 2nd viewing and I no longer like it.
p.s. Stone's best movie performance... Casino (1995) (7.5-8/10). but outside of that I would go with The Quick and the Dead (1995) (6/10).

BASIC INSTINCT (1992) (5/5)
I've seen it a handful of times and enjoyed it each time and I expect I'll still enjoy it the next time I see it as well.
I also enjoyed the sequel.
BASIC INSTINCT 2 (2006) (4/5)

I was deeply unimpressed. Not remotely as sexy as it's purported to be and I found it to be a rather dull thriller. All in all, not a fan.

I always enjoyed it, though Sharon Stone has never really been my type. It's an atmospheric thriller with a great Jerry Goldsmith score.

I really don't know why these kinds of movies were even shown on stations that had to edit them. Some of the dubs rank right up there with the infamous "Mr. Falcon" that was inserted over "Motherfucker" when CBS aired Die Hard 2. Not to mention that in a couple of spots, the dubs sounded like the voices of kids instead of adults.

The best Erotic Thriller I've seen. I generally like Verhoeven's movies but often find somethings in them that I thought he could've done better. In Basic Instinct I can't think of a thing to edit or add.

QUESTION!
At the End, Was the Killer just Sharon Stone's Character or was Jeanne Tripplehorn's Character really also in on it all with her ?

Oh, I very strongly doubt that he would respond to me even if I were able to find some sort of contact info for him.
That said, I do agree that maybe it is just left open to interpretation for the audience to figure out.
Still though, it really is quite a crazy idea if the 2 of them really were in on it all together.

It is nice for an early 90's blast from the past and is well mounted, but is ultimately superficial. It is not really that thrilling for a thriller and the story is convoluted and contrived. It certainly isn't Fatal Attraction - 87' and is more about shock value in the sexuality portrayed, with a dash of graphic violence.

"FATAL ATTRACTION" made me realize that when it comes to True Love.....Women are Crazy!
