Nice to see Martin save a pen after the Brighton game. I'd take a point but can't see us getting one.

Oh well, can't say I'm surprised at the outcome, still hopeful we will survive though, got a game in hand and effectively two points clear of the drop with goal diff.

Oh well, can't say I'm surprised at the outcome, still hopeful we will survive though, got a game in hand and effectively two points clear of the drop with goal diff. It's a tad precarious for you 😱 Certainly is but we have to accept the reality. We have about the second lowest budget in the division and are competing against teams that spend twenty times what we do to finish half way. Of all the divisions the Championship is the most insane, so many clubs have huge parachute payouts and others like QPR spend 40 million a year on wages (we spend 13m) to be two places higher than us. Not one club in the Championship is in profit (we lose 3-4m a year) and I accept that unless some fairness is ever restored (parachute payments make it impossible for teams from League 1 to have any chance) by drastically reducing parachute payments which are a dreadful idea as they encourage disastrous financial practises and encourage dangerous and unsupportable over spending, nothing will change. We will go down every 5 years or so and go up every 5 years or so as a yo yo club, that is just the reality of trying to obey fair financial practises (we pay 85% of turnover in wages as compared to teams paying over 200% of turnover on wages). Every year it's just a case of hoping there will be 3 teams worse than us.
