It's hard to like a movie like SEXY BEAST. The protagonist (a retired criminal named GARY "GAL" DOVE) spends way too much time trying to convince others that he won't work in a bank heist, even though it's pretty obvious to anyone who has ever seen a movie that he'll do it. There are some cool shots, but the characters (specially DON LOGAN, one GAL's criminal associates) are unbearably annoying. 3/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.

I thought that was a pretty good entry in the Brit-Crime genre. Love all the actors.

8/10
Great movie with several brilliant performances. Ian McShane, Ben Kingsley and Ray Winstone all were award worthy. In fact Kingsly whom you hated was Oscar nominated. Both BK and McShane were terrifying criminals. McShane managing to be insanely menacing even compared to Kingsley's scenery chewing Don Logan.
The robbery committed was merely a throwaway to set up the great performances but it would have been the centerpiece of dozens of other much less interesting movies and deservedly so. You really do have the shittiest taste in movies. You hate good stuff and love shitty stuff.
Don Logan ain't got nothing on you in the unbearably annoying department. As far as your moronic rating for this movie, Don Logan said it best.

I liked it a lot for the performances and the razor-sharp dialogue. Yes, it is over the top - Kingsley's character most of all - and the scenes back in the UK, oddly, are less compelling than those in Spain - but it is frequently very funny and, unusual for this type of film, even gives us what amounts to a feel good ending. 7/10

And I don't know anyone who does not like this film. Its a minor classic.
As to your point of whether or not Gary's going to do it... that's not the point. We KNOW he's going to do it. The point is the dread that he feels at being pulled back into the line of danger. This is a movie about a guy who'd successfully gotten OUT. Crime movies like this are almost always about guys who are trying to get out, "one last score and we'll be set". This guy succeeded and that's all being put in danger.
