marshamae No. I've never heard of Fred Waring. (Is he an heir to the blender fortune?) What are he and his band famous for? More than just an heir, Jervis. Fred established the company that financed the Waring Blendor (spelling was purposeful). His CBS musical series on TV was very popular in the early 1950s. A specialty was choral singing arrangements.

marshamae No. I've never heard of Fred Waring. (Is he an heir to the blender fortune?) What are he and his band famous for? Fred waring and The Pennsylvanians were a very popular vocal group. He started as a band leader, because he couldn’t get into the glee club at penn state. After his band had a popular radio show, he started the vocal group and hired Robert Shaw the renowned vocal conductor , to train his singers . He was on radio tv and recordings , some of his most popular songs were Battle Hymn of the Republic, Night before Christmas, sleigh ride. He founded Shawnee press to publish his choral music, and gave summer workshops to teach choral music. He was know as the man who taught America to sing. Oh and he didn’t invent the Waring Blender but he gave it financial backing, and The benefit of his brilliant merchandising. Don’t know whose idea it was to make the bottom and the blades removable but it’s the only blender that is easy to clean.

The GG staff are finally arriving, as the company bus was delayed by a fallen tree limb out on Garth Boulevard.
Giving them time to dry off -- they are still a bit damp as they emerge from the April Shower.
Hey, Scoreboard Stan -- shake your wet raincoat out somewhere else instead of over my new rug. That's a genuine Kashan!

Looks like a terrific game … 'puter is doing some sort of major something and it's taking too much energy to wait for the pages to load and the type to appear on the screen. I printed up the game before any answers were there and will be fun to play it solitaire style when the slow down speeds up Cya at the after party ! for the crew !
