For me, it's about the 15 minute mark in both The Phantom Menace and The Matrix Revolutions where I thought... "what the fuck am I watching?" And I know I'm not crazy because I could hear agreeable crumbling from the audience in the theatre.
In The Phantom Menace its the scenes where Jar Jar is in the sub with Liam and Ewan.
And in The Matrix Revolutions its the scene where everyone's dancing like they're in a Nelly video.
Those scenes were almost like watching the Fonz jump the shark for their respective franchises.
Anyone else?

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, when they were driving in the jeep to get off the island quickly that was imploding around them and onto the boat. Just stupid and silly. And it got worse, when they did the dinosaur bidding.

I knew after about 5 minutes that "The Brown Bunny" was an awful movie.

I think I watched about 15 minutes of Alien vs Predator before turning it off

Batman & Robin took mere seconds once they zoomed up close enough to Clooney's ass to give him an enema.
The Spirit when SLJ and Gabriel Macht begin hitting each other over the head with toilets like a Looney Tunes short.
Dune when the giant test tube baby that looks like someone's preserved genitalia begins hatching political schemes with Jose Ferrer.
10,000 B.C. when the two leads are children and he's talking about the stars and shit.
The Last Airbender when Nicola Peltz started talking.

The scroll at the beginning of The Phantom Menace had me worried. And then the opening scene confirmed my apprehensions about the film.

I think I watched about 15 minutes of Alien vs Predator before turning it off If you thought that one was bad, never in a million years go near Alien Vs Predator: Requiem. The first one was actually quite decent by comparison (though still not a good film).

I'm able to keep my expectations in check for a movie thanks to reviews, comments, etc. So if a movie experience doesn't turn out well, I'm more prepared for it.

Sometimes reviews and comments are right and other times they're not. It depends on the quality of the films and people's personal tastes.

I think Ernest Goes to Africa holds the record time for me.
I knew I was in trouble before even the 30 second mark.

I knew after about 5 minutes that "The Brown Bunny" was an awful movie. Well you probably should've avoided it on the basis of the title alone, no?

Look, it doesn't matter why Ernest went to camp, or went to jail, or joined the army, or became a basketball player. He just did. He might have been a moron but he always rose to the occasion and made the best of it. Sadly, I think his romp in Africa was, dare I say it, problematic.
