Furious 7 opened up to 147M. I don't think that it gets that high. I'd say 125M - 135M range for opening weekend.

110-120 OW Fast 7 scored big numbers because of Paul walker so I don't think fast 8 will score similar numbers.

I think some fans here in the states at least are getting sick of this franchise. That is what I've been hearing anyway from people close to me. It will still have a monster opening weekend, but I don't see it hitting 140 million, and the series will keep falling from here on out.

I doubt it will fall much in the states, but it probably will look so since Furious 7 had Paul Walker's death as a marketing tool. This one I suspect will make it to 250M domestic with around 1B foreign for a 1.2M gross, Universal will be happy with that, also keep in mind its getting fairly good reviews which always helps. And just my opinion people say people in the USA are sick of Transformers yet look at it, it and the Fast saga won't die anytime soon.

Deadline has the opening weekend estimated around 110 million. A steep decline from the previous film.

Deadline has the opening weekend estimated around 110 million. A steep decline from the previous film. It's only steep if you expect a franchise to peak then level off. Walker's death played a huge part in its gross (Furious 7) if Universal can keep these movies above or the same as Fast & Furious 6 for at least 2 more installments they won't care because foreign markets for these films will always boom.
