I heard a little about this film when it came out. I saw it tonight and damn. This is one of the worst films I have seen in a while. The films stars Kate Beckinsale (whom I really like) as a mother who recently lost a child. Her husband and son move into a Southern mansion which happens to be haunted.
The film is a total mess. Its non stop cliches from beginning to end. It has it usual dream sequences and seeing scary things that are not really there. The whole film is a total bore. Its as basic and dull as a film can get. And poorly edited as well.
What gets me though is that some of the things I found out.
- The film cost 15 million to make and only made 2,411,580.
- Since the film bombed and got bad reviews 20th Century Fox only put out a standard DVD and no Blu Ray.
- The film only runs 76 minutes without the end credits. Apparently at least one scene show in theaters was taken out of the film and not put on the DVD.
