Again, not exactly a household name, but the girl in the center of the photo, working then under her birth name of Suzanne Cupito, changed it as an adult to Morgan Brittany, and is probably best known for her multi-year role as the scheming but glamorous Katherine Wentworth on Dallas. On a related note, the iconic image used for The Graduate advertising displayed the leg not of Anne Bancroft but that of then-model Linda Gray, who is also known for her Dallas role (as Sue Ellen Ewing, long-suffering wife of J.R.).

I'm not even sure I ever saw The Karate Kid (though I probably did), but Ralph Macchio has a solid spot in my personal hall of fame for My Cousin Vinny, the only '90s comedy I can re-watch endlessly. And always laugh.

Bond in the barrel: That's stunt man Bob Simmons - not Sean Connery - seen in the openings of the first three Bond films ( Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger). A better look at Simmons below: Connery first appeared at the end of the barrel in Thunderball: You'll notice that Connery is fully illuminated; Simmons appeared largely in silhouette.

What iconic cinema images contain actors or actresses that were not, or did not become, famous or household names He was not famous THEN this image and movie helped change that !
