To summarize, someone, in November, put $1,500 down on Texas Tech to win the tournament at 200-1. He stands to make $300,000 if they win tonight. Two people (one is Dez Bryant) are offering $125,000 for the ticket today.
Would you take the buyout or hope to get the big payout tonight?

With my luck, I'd cash it in. When it comes to pure dumb luck, I have none.
And before you think the guy is a genius, he also put down a large bet on Wisconsin this year and Clemson last year. Sounds like a good friend of mine who will buy $40 worth of scratchoff tickets, hit on one and crow "Hey, I won $20".

Cash out pays you less than the fair value and subsequently if you do it multiple times you are losing money. A while back I read on a punter forum that betting companies have increased their profits by over 40% since they started giving live cash out options.
Only way cash out may work is if a person is once in a blue moon gambler and his one rare bet is about to make a lot. Then too he should do an analysis of exactly what % is he being cheated off.

That is such a great underrated movie. I watch it every time I notice that it’s on tv, which isn’t very often. I own it. One of my favorite comedies of all time, and I don't have any interest whatsoever in horse racing. Highly quotable and every side character is memorable.

Most are professionals who are paying attention to other things., cards, betting, odds, tells. And most events last 12 hours plus, Anyone would get tired looking at those hoo hoos after a while.
