Dad's Army would get my vote. Love that show.
AbFab was absolute shite. Not a fan of Only Fools and Horses either.

Watched loads of eps of OFaHorse's Will watch The Office some time I've seen all the episodes of the top 5 .. plus Porridge, the Office, Peep Show, the Good Life, The Detectorists and The Likely Lads. All recommended. Surprised to see no Steptoe and Son.

If I recall correctly S&S has hints of racism and, what would now be called, homophobia about it that were not considered an issue at the time. TBH though it's years since I've seen it.

No Red Dwarf or The IT Crowd ? Some of these I’ve never heard of : Dinnerladies , Detectorists. I agree with whoever said AbFab was shyte. Never understood what made that show so popular. If bitchy old women is your thing, Golden Girls is your answer. At least Bea Arthur had timing.... The other overrated one on there is the Young Ones.

Surprised Yes, (Prime) Minister didn't make it. Dinnerladies is crap. Detectorists is quite good - more gentle comedy than laugh out loud funny though. AbFab is indeed appalling.

I always wanted to skip the parts with Alexei Sayle and some of the others. Bottom was funnier. If it was up to me I'd have Red Dwarf, Spaced and A League of Gentlemen on there as well. I'm Alan Partridge (series 1) is the best one there of all the ones I've seen, which is almost perfection. Fawlty Towers would come close.

Detectorists is one of the sweetest things I've seen on TV. It had all the hallmarks of being too twee but everyone in it and the writers took it to a different level. It's great TV.

"too twee" Pity you couldn't work four and five in there somehow. (twore, twive? Doesn't quite work)

Can't believe I forgot to mention it earlier.
