The Blair With Project is a documentary!! That really happened!! YOU jest now ... BUT at the time, it really was word of mouthed that it was a real movie and all sorts of fights broke out between the believers andΒ the dis-believers ! Β I really wish I could have seen it in that context. As is, it's a movie about three assh*Les arguing in the woods until one falls over. Although Paranormal Activity and its knockoffs made me appreciate BWP more. ...uh, I mean, what's Paranormal Activity? Say, who's looking forward to Batman Triumphant?

Ah, 1999 brings a smile to my face. Loving the posts! I was born in 78, so I was tearing around like crazy in 99. Some of my movie memories...
-SR-71's pop punk tune "Right Now" is in every trailer and every movie. Unless it's too edgy. Then it's Sugar Ray. -Kevin Spacey taught me the awesome feeling of working out while stoned in "American Beauty." Thora Birch had a very...um...influential scene in the same movie. Everyone joked about the plastic bag. -"Dogma" fuckin' rules, dude ::rips bong:: -Malkovich, Malkovich... -Walking out of "October Sky," roasting a bone on the way home with friends. "Dude, we could totally do that." -"The Blair Witch Project" and the first viral marketing campaign of its kind. -"Cruel Intentions." No further explanation needed. -Everyone thinks they're an Irish gangster for a bit, screws up the toast everytime, because they saw "Boondock Saints" -What's the first rule of "Fight Club?"
In all seriousness, "The Matrix" had a ridiculous impact on virtually everything (film and otherwise) when it came out. Not one of my all-time favorite movies (though I think it's very good), but one of my all-time favorite theatrical experiences.
