if so, you might want to step back and take a look at yourself and ask why your THAT upset.

Sounds like you just lost your faith as there is stuff in the world that says otherwise...

so there is stuff out there that at least makes God's existence at least plausible for those who can see. but even with all of that said, faith is still required on some level. but for some it seems to boil down to this... "To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible." - St. Thomas Aquinas


Why? ; who does not want eternal life? ; unless of course your living in sin and rejecting God in which case for these people they would be better off if everything in the bible was false simply because for these types, say those who end up in hell, would rather not exist than exist in hell.

but that's why you get things right now so when you die, your right with God. your eternal soul is not worth 'rolling-the-dice' on

I don't see how one can lose their grip on reality as it's pretty basic stuff... we come into existence in this physical world and when we die we(our souls(which is us)) pass to the other side and our ultimate destination is either Heaven(good(eternal joy forever)) or Hell(bad(eternal hate/misery)). I said ultimate destination because, in my opinion, most people who die and don't end up in hell will in Purgatory for a while but at least those who end up there are guaranteed Heaven eventually.

Yeah, I understand and it's a fair point and all.

but... some movies, primarily ones that are more heavily sexual based, it's not a stretch to see why someone would say they are better off not being seen by people because they can push someone into sin (i.e. impure thoughts/actions etc).

so while they might be showing stuff in a negative light, and in this sense it's fine, you can see why I said what I said there above. but I guess at the same time... many don't pray regularly, so for those people it's just going to be that much harder to resist falling into sin, especially serious sin and serious sin is not something you want to mess around with.

one last thing... the more into sin one becomes, the more "extreme" someone who's religious will seem to that person and I suspect some will even begin to hate the truth as they love their sin etc (I think this is partially why politics are so bad lately between the right and left as the left pretty much went off-the-rails). even for those trying to escape sin, regular prayer is not optional but required if one is going to make progress by rejecting sin and trying to head towards holiness as Jesus Christ basically said, 'without Me you can do nothing'. so those who are trying to avoid sin and rarely pray is basically like trying to do things on your own which won't end well as regular prayer gives us grace from God to live a more holy life. without God's grace, people tend to get sucked into the world's way which is quite immoral in many ways.
