Salem's Lot 9/10 TCM 7/10 Lifeforce 6/10 Havent seen Funhouse in a while and since Spielberg is assumed to have helped direct Poltergeist I'll leave it alone. I don't remember the Invaders From Mars remake well either except nurse Ratchett acting weird and counting. I didn't know he did Toolbox Murders 1978Hooper didn't direct the 1978 version of Toolbox Murders; he made the 2004 version, which wasn't even a remake really. More like an in-name only remake.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) - 10/10. Devastating. The single most disturbing horror film made in the 1970s. Raw, gritty, base. A deeply unsettling fright flick. Masterpiece. Absolute masterpiece.
Poltergeist (1982) - 6/10. I was disappointed with this one. Felt more like a Spielberg-helmed kid's horror flick.
Salem's Lot (1979) - 3/10. I'm a huge fan of the novel, but thought this to be a very poor adaptation.
