If you are a evolutionist, like I, leave them alone. While homosexuals do occasionally "cross the aisle", have heterosexual sex, and reproduce, the vast majority of homosexuals do not have offspring, hence the homosexual trait is usually not passed to the another generation.
This is the reason churches hate homosexuals: homosexuals don't have children for the church to indoctrinate. Churches need new blood to follow their creed (nobody lives forever). Look at the Shakers, a silly concept that is dying because there are no new suckers. (Wikipedia says there are less than a dozen remaining).

However, there are many bisexual men pro-creating with women, and their bisexuality will go unannounced. Whether or not the male is responsible for the DNA of the child's sexuality, or the mother is, the bottom line is that it is hetero sex that is producing the offspring and creating both hetero and homo human beings. Then telling their children they are wrong, because they didn't like the package they came with, is sick, perverted and evil. Anita Bryant was and will always be in league with Lucifer, rather than God. 
As if the pie thrower would care because a reporter from Rolling Stone was there. If anything, I'd say the journalist from RS would have been more interested and on the side of the pie thrower. These Christian crackpots were only endorsing their delusion even more and couldn't even see this.
