The League of Ireland needs to do a bit more promotion, and getting games and commentaries on telly and wireless... Barely anyone in the UK knows it even exists.
They should sell it more over the summer, when it's the only league going in these parts.
It doesn't help that so many Irish football fans pop over to watch Man Utd or Liverpool in the Prem, rather than go watch Sligo or Drogheda.

I wonder what the standard is like compared to, say, Scotland. Lower than the top tier in Scotland but better than the Championship here?

Put it this way, this season, non-league Sutton United held Ireland Prem Bohemians to a 0-0 draw in the Irn-bru Cup thing 🤔
