We can't excuse it when people don't know about the Nazis and WWII, how the 'right' can go too far. Yet we excuse it when people don't know anything about Soviet history and how the 'left' can go too far.

Yet we excuse it when people don't know anything about Soviet history and how the 'left' can go too far. Yeah, but we don't have idiots stotting about making Solzhenitsyn salutes do we. No, but we have Universities where left-wing ideology is taught to young minds with no education about how it can go too far. We have morons in Antifa waving Communist flags. We are normalizing the concept of 'Guilt by association' and we are embracing the politics of group affiliation in the same way the Soviets were before they ran all the Kulaks off into Siberia or killed them. IMO all that is FAR MORE TROUBLING than some ignorant moron making a salute.

I'm starting to think that Euro football is the only thing keeping Europe out of more continental wars between themselves.  Instead of marching 500,000 armed soldiers into each others countries and shooting each other up, they wait until the weekend and get wasted at a game and have drunken brawls to vent their nationalism's. |
