i have an acquaintance (we'll call them K) who loves Star Wars, blockbusters and movies in general (but mostly blockbusters).
i'm just gonna break down their logic instead of writing some kind of anecdotal post chronicling their hypocrisy:
1. K says you shouldn't complain about movies based on the trailers alone 2. K claims to be hesitant/worried towards certain movies based on the trailers alone 3. K says Rise of Skywalker looks amazing (= you are allowed to like something based on a trailer, but not dislike it!!) 4. K is angry if i critize TLJ (... but i saw the movie) 5. K is angry if i express concern with Ruin Johnson's trilogy (K claims "they know what they're doing")
we're on IMDB2 after all, so i'm sure you've met your fair share of hypocrite fans.... like half the posters on this forum lol.
I understand being sentimental towards a franchise and stuff but frikkin hell, some people need to refresh their logic skills once in a while.
Now it's your turn to post examples of hypocritical fanboys or whatever else you feel would fit in this thread.

This is how this works concerning movie fans.
Person A likes The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift better than The Godfather. Person B likes Scary Movie better than 2001: A Space Odyssey. Person A calls person B an idiot.

I think it’s the way it’s always been, it’s just easier to notice now that multiple franchises are so big.

Person A thinks the comedy in Guardians of the Galaxy is childish and stupid. Person A thinks Shazam! is a masterpiece.
Person B thinks the comedy in Shazam! is childish and stupid.
Person B thinks Guardians of the Galaxy is a masterpiece.

Poster A makes a pointlessly convoluted thread when they could have just said "I'm not a fan of the new Star Wars movies or where they're going."
Poster B (me) sighs before realizing this thread is 3 months old and poster A almost certainly won't see my reply.

Person A thinks that Civil War has Captain America as a power-hungry tyrant.
Person A also thinks that Batman and Superman are both completely innocent and non-destructive in Batman v. Superman.

Poster C is glad he's not the only one who noticed this thread is just another excuse to hate on TLJ.
