Do MOST of the songs and albums that YOU listen to (solo singers and bands) have a male or a female vocalist? I think MOST agree that the female singing voice is generally nicer (lovelier) sounding, BUT MOST own MORE music that features male singers since males more often write music that MORE people enjoy, like or LOVE.
For ME it's MORE male sung songs and albums.

For ME it's MORE male sung songs and albums. I think genre plays a role in the number of vocalists of each gender. I listen to heavy metal, which was and still is a male-dominated genre. However there have been, and still are, female vocalists in metal. For example, the current compilation I'm playing in my car has twelve albums (2014 to 2018 releases). Ten of the albums have male vocalists, and two have female vocalists.

Im female, but most of the bands I listen to have male vocals. I listen to a lot of metal and like alpha128 said, its mostly male. I have plenty of female vocal rock/meta/new wave, but its definitely less than male.

Definitely male, but I love a lot of female artists/singers. My current AOTY is by a female artist/singer (Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising).
