And here I thought they'd give the Pats a good team to play on opening night.

And here I thought they'd give the Pats a good team to play on opening night. We'll make sure not to use Jaylen Samuels against you this year, as long as you make sure Marcus Cannon is still blocking (we're sorry you let Trent Brown go).

You could even win. As last year showed, Steelers games don't mean much to the Patriots in the long run.

This should be the opening TNF game, I have no idea why the NFL changed things up this year, but I don’t like it. I mean I like both of the prime time matchups of Packers/Bears and Steelers/Pats, but they should be in reverse order.

Patriots first 8 games are vs. 2018 non-playoff teams.

idk if they play each other but an AFC championship rematch would have been more appealing.

idk if they play each other but an AFC championship rematch would have been more appealing. They do (both won their divisions), but typically they like to save the best match-up for later in the year. With this one, you have the two teams with the most Super Bowl wins, the last team that beat the Patriots, and all the drama left over from the Steelers defections. The storylines are good ones.

Meh, it may just be me but I'm tired of the Steelers dysfunction talk and that's really the only thing they have going for them narrative wise I guess so I'm just not all that interested in the match up. I wanted something sexier like Pats/Chiefs Pats/Browns or Pats/Chargers.

Patriots first 8 games are vs. 2018 non-playoff teams. The Patriots play a team coming off their bye a league-high three times. They'll also play five primetime games, which can (and hopefully will) throw the Pats off their typical schedule. And that primetime schedule includes a Thursday nighter against the Giants, following a road game in Washington.

Patriots first 8 games are vs. 2018 non-playoff teams. And 5 of the final 8 games are against playoff teams from last year. Would you feel better about it if 5 of the first 8 were against playoff teams and 0 of the last 8?

That's how you're spinning it? The Patriots lost to 5 shitty teams last year, yours was one of them. Maybe the league is assuming the Patriots departures hurt them enough that this will actually be a compelling game. The Steelers were a dumpster fire last year and the Patriots limped through the regular season but rounded into form for the playoffs. In years past, this would be a great opening night matchup. After last season, I fail to see the excitement.

And people who think the Steelers are suddenly not going to be a team that isn't either in the playoffs or having a chance for the playoffs in week 17 are sorely mistaken.

That the Patriots lost to the Steelers last year? Of course it will. Same when the Pats play the Dolphins. And the rematch with the Chiefs will feature commentary on both Pats/Chiefs matchups from last year. That doesn't make a week one matchup with a non-playoff team from last year any more compelling. The only question is which Steeler will be holding out, sitting out so he can compete in game shows, tweeting about the Patriots at 3 AM the night before the game (at least they'll be playing the Pats this time) or taking video from the locker room post game. Maybe another former Steeler could call Rapistburger a racist and then walk it back, who knows how much fun we could be having? Scratch that. The only question will be how many times you say you were robbed by the refs if you lose the game. Nobody bitches about refs like Steelers fans.

They had 4 out of 5 weeks in 2018 if memory serves. 2019 Giants & Redskins... and? lols

I'm sure they'll spend a lot of time talking about your owner's dick too. And how you have it so far stuffed into your mouth that you're like an Asian maesusse.
