The last season was a major improvement over the previous two. Better pacing and more focus on how much the main characters care about each other. Without getting into spoilers, the ending was a little abrupt and inconclusive, but I guess it should be expected from a prequel.

S3 was a letdown but the first two seasons were great.

You know, so many people online are shipping Aureliano and Spadino, but I haven't read anyone shipping Nadia and Angelica.

Without getting into spoilers, the ending was a little abrupt and inconclusive, but I guess it should be expected from a prequel. I didn't remember much of the 2015 movie, so I didn't notice the timeline contradictions in the series' final season. I just read an interview with the show runners. They said they did this on purpose so it would be an alternative retelling rather than a prequel. Then why didn't they use different actors to play the same characters? Or the same actors to play different characters (like AMERICAN HORROR STORY and THE HAUNTING OF...)? And why didn't they say all this when the show began? Did they want viewers to expect a direct connection only to shock us? Well, even though this kind of surprise didn't ruin the viewing experience, I don't think it enhanced it either.
