How is this show, worth watching? I'm a fan of Rome and GoT and the like, so was thinking about giving this a shot.

Its a good show, but there are some annoying inaccuracies in it. But all in all was a good show, and is worth watching.

Excellent show, if you're a fan of the other two you listed, you'll love it.

I've never seen it but there were a few gals in the office breakroom who would gush about it, mostly because of the male nudity. Is there more to it than that?

absolutely...in fact, it would have been a great show without the obvious nudity...

I love it. I’ve been trying to get jpat99 to watch it. Although there’s plenty of historical inaccuracies, the cast and crew did a superb job as far as script and portrayals go. It remains one of my all time favorite series. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers being easy on the eyes was an added bonus, as we all know the real Henry VIII wasn’t exactly good looking.

Actually the real Henry VIII was considered good looking in his youth (at least by the standard of that era). And it was not until after his jousting accident in 1536 when he was 44 years old he started to get fat.

No you have not. you have seen paintings not photos. He is not your type ok that is fine, but the fact is that he was considered good looking in his youth by most people who saw him when he was alive. That does not change just because he is not your type.

I don't think he was a bad looking young man (but I'm not sure his younger day looks would have been raved about in his time if he wasn't royalty.

Wildly inaccurate historically. The old BBC series Six Wives of Henry VIII is much better.

He was considered goodlooking when he was young and fit, and a good athlete. But he went to seed at a fairly early age, putting on a huge amount of weight. Katherine of Aragon had all his best years.
