I have a little dilemma. My Niece's boyfriend can't make it to the Thursday night showing. Long story short they have an extra ticket. Now do I drive 2.5 hours tomorrow watch the movie and then at 3am drive another 2.5 hours back home getting home at 6am. I have an appointment I can't postpone on Friday at 8am.

That's a long way to go just to see a movie. If you can function on little or no sleep, then go for it. Otherwise, just wait. You'll see it eventually.

If I was single I'd go for it. Listen to a nice audio book along the drive.

Divorced. I am dating someone, but it's fairly new so not even comfortable calling her a girl friend. She's fine with me seeing it beforehand. (or at least she said she is) I have tickets for us to see it Saturday at 11. The appointment I have to make is fairly important but after it I could go home and sleep.

This has a average review score of a 8.28/10. Its not as high as The Dark Knights 8.58/10 but that's probably the closest I can recall a superhero movie being to it (forgetting the animated ones).
I had to go and check and I can see Spider-man 2 at 8.3/10 and Black Panther has a 8.26/10.

It'll be a story worth remembering for one of the biggest cinematic events of your lifetime. "I was there at the thursday preview, and you wouldn't believe what I had to do to get it."

Well I napped before I left to go to my Sister's House to go see the flick last night. Afterwards I ate at Waffle House after the movie and had some strong coffee just in case. I went straight Southern Redneck and had 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns that were scattered covered and topped (for non rednecks that is hashbrowns loosely mixed with chili and cheese on them) small bowl of grits, toast with strawberry jam, and probably a liter of coffee. Then I drove home and went directly to my appointment. Everything went smoothly. After my appointment took another nap.
I won't give my review until I see it again tomorrow. In general terms though it was a great end cap for the whole Infinity Saga. Discussing it with my friends and family at the Waffle House, I said if the MCU movies are like Episodes to Tv shows then Avengers movies are the Season Finales. Endgame felt like a Season and Series Finale. I then changed the analogy. Yes, it wrapped up story lines, but it's continuing afterwards so the analogy doesn't work. After discussing it for a bit I finally came up with the analogy that Endgame was like a Doctor Who Regeneration Episode in general. And specifically Matt Smith's regeneration episode. Both movie and episode wrap up all/most of the loose ends. They have call backs for all the major characters and story lines. Both are kind of melancholy because a huge chapter is closing saying goodbye, but also fun and joyful because you know it's continuing. My sister and her 2 kids cried multiple times during. Hell even I got a little glassy eyed once.
I am going to see it again tomorrow after that I'll write up a review, but right now after 1st viewing I'd give it a solid 9/10.

It was very entertaining last 45 minutes but I was feeling the runtime before that. My crowd was cheering several moments towards the end which enhanced my viewing experience.

Quick thoughts:
Endgame had the most 'holy sh-t' moments of all the films but I actually preferred Infinity War overall. IW features better character interactions and team ups and has much better pacing. Endgame is perhaps the perfect love letter to the first three phases on the MCU and I'm looking forward to seeing where we go from here.

I thought it was a decent movie. No reason it needed to be 3 hours though. Quite a bit could have been cut and still get the point across

Magnificent movie! The pacing was perfect. It didn't feel like 3 hours at all.

Where is that DC-Fan guy anyway? Anyone had a siting?
If the current estimates are correct, Endgame might approach Aquaman's total domestic and worldwide gross by the end of its opening weekend.

dcfan is just avoiding spoilers because he actually loves the MCU and his whole hater shtick is just that - shtick.
