Before I could read I pretty much just liked stuffed animals and dolls to carry and cuddle. And my Tommy James records.

I built more plastic models than I can remember: horror figures, cars, tanks, planes, ships, spacecraft, etc. I'd play with them for a while and when I got tired of them, I would burn them or blow them up with firecrackers.
I also had a few toys that probably wouldn't be sold today. There's nothing like putting the brakes on something that moves.

When a wee kitten, Catman liked teddy bears and firetrucks. Later, he liked girder building sets, Lincoln logs, and model trains. And still later, he went back to teddy bears.

I think my favorite toy was a King Kong Aurora model kit followed by a Mego Spider-man, followed by a King Kong plush doll followed by a "made in Hong Kong" rubber gorilla. Then perhaps some rubber dinosaurs. Then a Steve Austin doll. I liked the Indiana Jones doll they had except they were so cheap-they just used the Han Solo head for it and made the hat rim slightly larger. I hated design inconsistencies.

Apparently, my first favourite toy was my rocking horse.
I would ride it around the house and the backyard. I'd follow mum or dad about as they did house and yard work.
Later on, I got into action figures, matchbox cars, model train sets, model racing car sets and so forth.

Star Wars Masters of the Universe G.I. Joe Transformers ThunderCats Sectaurs BraveStarr Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ..& I doubt many people would remember these: Another World Power Lords My brother had a ton of those Other World figures. He even had the castle playset with the skull on the front. Think they mostly came from KMart. I had the Power Lords comic book mini series from DC comics but never had any of the figures. My favorite toys weren't really toys I guess but they mostly came from Monogram plastic model kits. I must have built every one I could get my hands on. Started out with Snap Tites that didn't require glue and then I progressed to more complicated kits. They were mostly airplanes, but there were a few cars. P51, P47, B17, etc. Good times.
