I had those Other World figures! I remember my dad getting them for me at our KMart store. You could only bend them so many times before the metal wires underneath the rubber fatigued and then, finally, snapped. But you only fully realised they had snapped when the end of the wire penetrated the rubber limbs. Sometimes the limbs would break off.

I remember the glow in the dark weapons and the little mini comic book that came with them. I think they all came with 1 or 2 of the little orange or purple gnome like creatures. I think the coolest one my brother had outside of the castle and dragon was the lava man creature that had glow in the dark fireballs. This guy:

My dad couldn't afford to buy me the cool toys, so I made a lot of my own toys out of stuff I found around the house. Early on it was animals, each with its own personality and story. Later I made airplanes and spaceships.

I used to love building these things ( KNEX). One time I made a Ferris wheel and put it on display. My fingers hurt after a while but it was totally worth it. You should see some of the Google images. People get really creative.

I liked Power Rangers, Hot Wheels, and this Woody pull-string I had.

( with additional other Weebles purchased separately ) .
I also had tons of LEGOS that I would build extra homes for my other little Weebles too .
( that really worked like an actual land line telephone ) of course you could only call the person with one of the other phones .
All these toys were hours of fun and enjoyment as a child .
Thanks so much THE DREAM for this fun subject post too .

a female sailor doll. to this day i sometimes remember her and how much i loved her. trains were my second favorite toy. but “LittleSailorGirl” was number one. I wonder if I can find her online... and how about you, what did you like as a kid? those Tiger Electronic handheld games Were those the ones where you had to take turns playing as the QB or pitcher or whatever? I think some of them you were just a red blip as the running back or receiver? That may have been mattel electronic football tho.

What were your favorite toys as a child? Things that my mother ended up throwing out.
Poor Death Star play set. Poor shooting fist Godzilla.
She cant access my toys anymore.
That's worth about $500 in decent condition if you have the box too.

This was my first handheld video game. Kids today are totally spoiled... I got this bad boy second hand at a garage (yard) sale for $.25. It was missing the battery cover so I had to wrap the back with tape to keep the batteries in. Total awesomeness.

My toy swords and bows and arrows. I spent most of my time pretending to be Robin Hood. We used Wiffle Bats to sword fight like we saw in Excalibur (1981)
