3. Pretty bad movie, but does have its moments. Muddled storyline, weak villain and disappointing fight. Ben Affleck was good as batman though.

Philosophical. I liked all the characters. The visual effects were disappointing though.

5/10. It did have interesting ideas, some cool action, Batfleck, and some good performances. But goddamn, the nonexistent plot, the 'martha' resolution, Superman dying, Lex Zuckerberg, Doomsday, and those distracting dream sequences. Plus the grimdark style was just relentless.

The 3-hour "Ultimate Edition" gets a solid 8 from me... which equals the highest rating I've ever given an MCU flick. What's movie from MCU did you give a 8?

Well I know I'm too late, but 7/10 for me. I truly believe that if a few scenes were cut and the movie ended with an extended Batman v Superman battle, it would be a near-masterpiece. Instead we got Doomsday and a Lex Luthor that seemed to be impersonating Nicolas Cage.

5/10
The whole Martha thing knocks of two points and Doomsday another one. The rest of the movie is more than ok.

6/10 - I wanted to love it, I'm a comic book guy, I want all comic book movies to be great. This wasn't, but it wasn't awful, either.
For those who haven't seen it, I recommend the extended version that, like the DAREDEVIL film from 2003, fares better (and is more coherent) with the additional scenes. Ironic that Affleck is in both of them. Or is it? Like Alanis, I could never get the definition of irony nailed down.

Did you dislike Doomsday because (a) he was shoehorned in and rushed or (b) because of the way he was depicted in general, and/or (c) the differences between DCEU Doomsday and DC Doomsday? Just curious.

Mad props for acknowledging the underrated-yet-not-amazing director's cut of Daredevil. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.

Just curious. The first one. Creating Doomsday was a bit too easy for LL for my taste. And it was a pure device to get the trinity together and kill off Superman. It would have been so much more interesting to have Batman kill Superman and explore the possible moral dillemma. They didnt need to put Doomsday in to get the team together.

I'll say 4. Might change it to 3. The only light was Supes. Bats sucked. The world's greatest detective falling for Luthor's game? Bat fans should be deeply offended to the depths of their souls.
