I figured I would go ahead and start it!! What are everyone’s thoughts leading up to the draft?!

I think that unless the Eagles trade up they’ll be making their selection after I go to bed.
Please tell me that Chris Berman will have nothing to do with the telecast.

Will the Patriots draft their new Gronk, or go about solidifying their depth at long snapper?

Will the Patriots draft their new Gronk, or go about solidifying their depth at long snapper? They’re going to draft Brady’s replacement in the 7th round and he’ll make Brady seem like Akili Smith by comparison.

Please Bills, don't listen to the draft "experts". Draft for the offense. A receiver or an offensive lineman. All I see is "the Bills have to replace Kyle Williams" Really, why? Not a playoff team in 2019. They need more to keep John Allen in one piece. Either a lineman to block for him or someone who can catch the ball so he doesn't have to run. He gets hurt, an injury that derails his career, and the team is fucked for three to five years. Kyle Williams the Second can wait until next year.

It has been intriguing for me, as a life long Cardinal fan. I have no idea what they are going to do tonight. I'm not sure I really even care. It's not like I have any control over it. 90% of their past drafts have been complete clusterfucks, anyway. ( Kelly Stouffer, anyone? ) I guess they would be better off trading down, or taking Bosa. I have a feeling that if they do take KM, it might not really pan out.

Agreed, the Bills need to draft an O-Lineman IMO, their O-Line is shit and Allen needs protection. A WR would help as well.

The Falcons need to draft for the defensive line and the secondary IMO. I feel like their secondary weakness is being ignored, their DB’s were horrible last year, and a decent secondary is a must in the NFL now, I hope the Falcons shore it up. There are plenty of good D-Lineman and drafting one of them would help as well. The Falcons have a lot of very talented players, and if they stay healthy and shore up the defense they will be very good IMO.

Either OL or WR is a must. Allen is one of the better running QB I've ever seen but he can't carry the offense with his legs. The Bills haven't had a WR with over 1100 years receiving since Lee Evans in '06. Of course, they haven't had a QB that has been able to throw for 1100 yards in that time.
The team has too much invested in Allen. Did he look like Baker Mayfield, not yet. But he didn't look like Akili Smith either. The defense was fine. Will they miss Kyle Williams, sure. The future of the team isn't on that side of the ball.

The Falcons will trade up to pick a punter in the first round. I'm very unhappy with the organization right now. Paying the former 1st rounder Vic "Bustley" 13 million for his 5th year instead of releasing the bum was just one of many moronic decisions. Resigned woman beater Rashede Hageman who hasn't been in the league in 2 years. Are thinking of taking another edge rusher in the first who won't be able to maintain his combine weight despite Bustley being a HUGE disappointment for much the same reason. Also Beasely is just lazy which was the same problem Hageman the woman beater had and probably still has.
To get the player who could be a smart pick (Ed Oliver) the Falcons will have to move up i.e. lose picks. That would be okay IF the hadn't won their final 3 games. Fuck pointless moral victories. They should have sat Ryan and Julio those final 3 games like Carolina did Cam. Then they would have been picking in top 5 instead of 14. Add in they didn't take care of Grady Jarrett who has busted his ass and deserves to be paid. Just slapped the franchise tag on him which players seem to resent so great way to have him pissed off for future contract talks. Better to give 13 million to a lazy sack of shit like Bustley because rewarding a player for complacency is a brilliant way to motivate the bum to try harder, right?
They make it hard to support the team when they do so many stupid things.

DeAndre Baker is rumored to be sliding after he didn't play in the Sugar Bowl. NFL coaches allegedly didn't like that he said he would play then changed his mind less than 2 weeks before the game. He would be a little bit of a reach at 14 but a bargain if he slid into 2nd round. Of course Falcons HATE taking former Georgia players. New England loves them but what has that organization done lately?

Baker has never been all that impressive to me to be honest, but if he’s available in the second round and the other 2 aren’t, then selecting him would be a good move.

Steelers are trying to get up to draft either Devin White or (more likely) Devin Bush. Would need the Lions or Bills to trade out to get Bush (I don't think they can get high enough to get White). If they stay at 20, they are most likely getting the first or second CB, S, or WR off the board.

I think Baker is as good as those guys. Considering he covered the best receiver in every game and still didn't give up a TD in his final 2 years at Georgia I'm impressed. That's about as close to being a shut down DB as it gets. Don't get me wrong Greedy and Murphy are really good but I still think Baker will go in the first round. How do you feel about Falcons moving up? They do have extra picks in the 4th and 5th to play with.

I don’t think any player is worthy of the Falcons trading away a lot of picks for, although if they could get in the top 5 and select one of the star DL’s that would be nice. But I wish the Falcons had lost a couple of games at the end of 2018 and then we would be picking very high.

Is there a telecast in any sport that he didn't make worse? Never got into watching it on the tube. 10 minutes of speculation, someone reads a name and then you get the commentators saying "This player solidifies this position for this team for the next 5-10 years". Just once I like to hear Kiper say "Nah, he's going to suck" or at least state the obvious "Half of these guys will be working at Target or Burger King in five years. It's a fucking crap shoot." I remember Kiper (think it was Kiper) saying how the Bills made such a smart move by drafting Sammy Watkins and passing on UB standout Khalil Mack. Said something like Watkins not only is a stud WR but he would make EJ Manuel a stellar QB. Jesus and all the saints couldn't make EJ a QB. And how JaMarcus Russell was going to revolutionize the QB position in the NFL.

No Berman but I think abc is going to goof it up anyway. They are adding non sports celebrities for some reason and seem to be pushing the feel good stories a lot harder than other networks did. How many times do we need to hear "I want to buy mama a house"? Everyone wants to buy their mama a house. Change it up and say you want to buy your Pops something.

Kiper has gotten kinder - - but it's the 25th anniversary of this.
