If Judge Judy ever ran for office, it would move me to register myself to vote. Most politicians bore me to tears. Her capacity for common sense seems unprecedented. She's a very strong person, who also has a likeable side.

It's a wonder she hasn't been considered for a SC position then.

Well Judy Sheindlin is a female Biff Trump . Do you want another loud Airbag Billionaire for President ? I think Hilary has more dignity , and respect to us , than both of them together !

My very first response to everything you just wrote was "Wow, how is it that two people can have such different points of view about the same thing?" Other than they both have oodles and oodles of self-confidence, I don't see any similarities between Judge Judy and Damien Thorn, ahem, Donald Trump). Have you ever watched any of Judge Judy's interviews? (I'm thinking negative) She is nowhere near the obnoxious conservative Republican as you might think at first. Though I used to not like her, either, now I have tremendous respect for Judy. Judge Judy said "it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes the strength of the human spirit" and just knocked me over with her smarts and her compassion. Hilary has the charm of a potato.

I don't know about that. I'm no Hillary fan but at least she's a known political entity. JJ could get in there and due to being set in her ways on something undo years of progress or shout down the wrong people and gridlock the entire government.

I am not so sure JJ really has her heart in the right place though. This just sounds like an glib platitude to spout off, especially for somebody in her profession. I feel this goes beyond what we consider the human-spirit, because being the cynic that I am , I don't trust human-arrogance and she has oodles of that also.
I vote #1 Elvira. She won't take no s<>t and will put some sass back into G rated films, plenty of sex and violence.

Exactly. When she said that, it was what made me like her as much as I do. I could see somebody thinking she was an ole sour puss, and I used to think so myself, but I like her. Though your vote for Elvira as President is quite an appealing idea!

I like the way you see Elvira! She is naughty without being offensive. I happily bow to Elvira.

I could see somebody thinking she was an ole sour puss, and I used to think so myself, but I like her. Though your vote for Elvira as President is quite an appealing idea! Couric was expressing her own arrogance of presumption here. Her definition of feminism is belied and undermined by the bias and sexist title in itself, 'feminism' and the need to be seen as a victim.
What JJ expressed as her success, was because of her own personality to fit in with whatever works—her gender was irrelevant—and because she didn't need propping up by some entitled idealist movement. She wasn't seeking approval, just because she was a woman and wanted a special compensation made for this. That is strength of character.

She exploits the asset, calls things for what they are, with a fun and slightly risque sense of humor, but not at the detriment of being maliciously mean.

It is a big breath of fresh air for a woman who is attractive and sexy and feminine AND have a sense of humor about all these things! Not that I would ever want to switch teams, but if only more women were like Elivira, what a much nicer, more fun place the world would be!

So endearing and delightful and sexy and funny and I see her as an excellent role model for girls too with her somewhat brazen, but also humble confidence. Feminine and funny and HONEST. One of my favorite go to comedies. And because it is spiced up with some lighthearted horror, I find it a perfect fix for a pick me up.

I agree as well, Elvira is an excellent role models for girls. She really knows where it's at! And love a nice comedy-horror mix. An unbeatable combination.
