Couple of vital early goals from Keita in the last few Liverpool matches.
Great OP BTW, stagger!
P.S. Your Scotch team Ross County are cruising to being crowned champions this evening. 3-0 up on QoS. I'm watching it live on BBC Scotland.

Just when you thought the game was drifting aimlessly along, Van Djlk breaks through the middle on '22, nourishes Robertson on the left flank who whips in a cross which Mane's head cannot possibly miss. He converts cleanly for two-nothing.

Yeah, 3-0 on the stroke of half-time. It was a build-up at walking pace around the centre circle with men in red knocking it about with no real intent. But Arnold got hold of it and fed a lovely ball towards Salah who looped it cheekily over the onrushing Lossi.

Mounie attempts a double raid on Allison's nest on '52 but is twice foiled. They're giving it a go, though.

Robertson on 10 assists this season, Trent on 9 assists, almost got a 10th just there but Sturridge was offside

Yeah, Liverpool dispossess the visitors on the halfway line and launch the counter. It eventually comes to Henderson wide of the area and his pinpoint cross into the box is received by the unmarked head of Mane who powers it home for four on '66.

Did I spot a little smile on Oxlaide-Chamberlain's face as he came on as sub, much to the crowd's delight? Ooh wait, he's through on goal. He's in the area, turns one defender, fires, but Lossi stabs it away with his left foot. What a return that would have been for him. Now Mane is denied by the woodwork for his hat-trick on '79.

Salah and Mane still on despite Barca in midweek. But 4/5 days rest and training should see them alright, no?

It's yet another assist for Robertson on '83 as he slides it across the face of goal for Salah to slot it home with ease. 5-0.

The goals have been nicely spaced, almost like a timetable - 1, 23, 46, 66 and 83. More reliable than Network Rail, brah.

Maddening not to have things under control. Have to hope and pray that someone can hold City to a draw.

Liverpool's tried and tested gameplan was seen to great effect last night. With two highly talented wing backs, the tactics only work when the wide players, Mane and Salah drift inside, take their markers with them and leave space for Trent-Arnold and Robertson to work their magic. Salah's goals came from passes/crosses from T-A and Robertson and Mane's first was a classic cross from the left-back to the No.10 who had vacated his wide position and was found unmarked in the middle. It was also good to see the Ox back. He's gonna be a big player next season, and the Shack gave a nice little cameo, reminding us that he can be a matchwinner with his deft defense-splitting pass to Robertson and then a sumptuous cross from the right which should have given Mane his hattrick.
