Well that's the championship done and dusted in WSBK with one round to go. Man what a year! There has been some excellent racing making it my favourite series by far.
MotoGP was solid but i feel we are in a lull at the moment. We are in between golden periods and while there has been the odd highlight there has been some dull racing too. Congrats to Pecco, Augusto and Izan.
F1 has been just plain poor. Brazil however was pretty good for a change but i'm liking Max less with every race. He needs a good kicking! I'm really pleased for George, hopefully that is the first of many wins!

Yes. Well done Alvaro. Simply the most consistent rider. Only 2 DNFs all year while Toprak had 4 or 5. Rea was great but just didn't have the bike under him.
Phillip Island coming up. Won't be there this year but I really do need to get back.

It's a shame a very enjoyable season ended with a red flag. Update on Laverty: Pelvic injury. Not life threatening. Good to hear after a fast crash.
Fine tactical wins to Rea in Race One and Alvaro in the Superpole. Race Two was all set up for a big finish until Laverty's crash with 4 laps to go. Fitting that the World Champion ended his season with 2 wins and good to see Rea break his drought and didn't he love it!

So that's it. The season is over. Here's how i ranked the series we watched.
1) WSBK 2) Indy Car 3) MotoGP 4) BSB 5) F1
The last couple of years of World Superbikes have contained some of the best racing i've ever seen. Long may it continue. Indy Car has the rules right for open wheel racing and the presenting and commentary team make each event very engaging.
MotoGP is suffering from terrible presenting and commentary teams which is spoiling the racing for me which in itself hasn't been stella this year. BSB once again suffered from the terrible show down fiasco, crap rules and poor race direction. At least they have recognised that for next year and have half fixed it by scrapping the showdown but messing with the points system just doesn't feel right but what do you expect from Higgs, he's a moron.
F1 is just broken and i can't see it being fixed for years. I have a pathological hatred of Red Bull and anything Verstappen related since last year which doesn't help. At least the program itself is well made unlike MotoGP.
I am so looking forward to WSBK starting again in three months time, until then i'm hoping for a mild winter so i can get some riding time in.

Thats the end of the F1 season, Max ended it in style. He had a fantastic season. Leclerc drove very good and Ferrari had a good strategy(what?) for once. Russell had a very good first year at Mercedes. And a bit under the radar, but Norris had a great season. I will miss Daniel and Seb.
So, what do you Motogp fans think of them adding sprint races every race weekend?

They're not borimg like the F1 versions. They're short enough to be very different beasts from the Grand Prix races while long enough to allow tactics. I like that the finishing order doesn't affect qualifying for Sunday. Some will bemoan having extra races and not just the Sunday Grand Prix but with TV rights being what they are, extra content with title implications is a no brainer.

So, what do you Motogp fans think of them adding sprint races every race weekend? I literally haven't thought about it, heard much about it or read about it. Are they similar to WSBK? a smaller amount of points for them?

World SBK back and was looking largely as you were until Aegeter and Lowe's came along in the last race. Did they ride to a famous 1,2 breaking the big 3's hold on the series? Of course not! Aegeter ran Rea off the track early in the race consigning him to 7th while Lowe's took out Toprak late to allow Rinaldi and Locatelli to grab podiums. After one round Bautista has maximum points (62) while Locatelli is sitting second on 34 with Rinaldi just behind. Was actually a fun round with some good mid pack racing. Aegeter and Gardiner are not friendly team mates and should be fun to watch going at it all year. Ducati looks well ahead of Yamaha and Kawasaki this year, though Phillip Island has been a good track for Alvaro historically.

Looks like this thread's kind of died but I may as well post about the return of MotoGP. Sprint race was fun. Everyone went hell for leather and it resembled a Moto3 race for most of its run before the class of Ducati won out. Marc Marquez ruined the Grand Prix by taking out himself and the two guys most likely to challenge defending champion Pecco Bagnaia, who defeated Aprilia's Mavrick Vinales by about a second.
Overall Ducati look miles ahead of everyone else and Pecco looks miles ahead of the other Ducati riders which may be distorted somewhat by Enio Bastianini's injury. Looking like a fight for second. We'll see plenty of good racing down the field but none at the front. Similar to F1 thus far.
