I suppose Fernando will be up against Nico for the Renault seat. I don't mind either driver. Nico is seems to be a nice guy and Fernando can be entertaining.
Lando and Daniel are going to get on well and have a lot of fun at McLaren i reckon which will be great to see. I don't have the same feeling about Carlos and Charles though.
I agree with others about two races at the same circuit in F1, expecially if they are back to back, the second race will either be a snoozefest or a crashfest!
I'd prefer it if they scrapped this year and concentrated on next year because it could go down as the biggest shambles in motorsport. The same goes for all the bike racing series i follow too.

Rosberg is one of only a small number of racers i don't like so i hope he never makes a come back I must be honest and say that I have disliked many Ferrari drivers for no reasons. I hated Vettel in spite of the fact that I know he is as good or better human being than most. I hated Schumacher. I hated Barrichello. Rosberg I also disliked because I wanted to see Hamilton win.

No more Alonso, I’m so done with him. He remains somehow an enigma to me. Many people who I admire as F1 fan told me he is going to be one of the greatest ever. He surely had his moments but rookie Hamilton did get the better of him.

U.K. P.M. has personally intervened to try and ensure the British Grand Prix races go ahead by instructing his ministers to get it done.
That's one hurdle cleared, potentially.

The Williams F1 team is up for sale, possibly the whole company.
That's the first team affected by coronavirus. I expect more to follow.
Sad to see, but not surprising.

Haas is probably next.

The opening race in Austria has been confirmed by the Austrian government for the 5th and 12th of July.
That'll get the ball rolling...

The Sundays are a bit different when we have an F1 race to look forward to. I have missed F1 races a lot. Probably only cricket more than it. It will be a pleasure once it starts again. Don't know how much crowd's absence will affect me.

I think the main complain against F1 coverage made by F1 fans is that they keep on showing the top 4 drivers even when we have a very competitive race going on in other parts. No crowds will probably help on that end. F1 may not be affected as much by absence of crowd as much as NBA or football.

Don't know how much crowd's absence will affect me. Yeah, really looking forward to it. Hopefully, F1 will take these extraordinary circumstances and become a little creative, with regards to an absence of spectators. Maybe they'll have taken note of how interesting it was with the UFC, where you could hear the labored breathing and the impact shots clearly of the fighters. They should set up microphones around the tracks to pick up every rev and squeal of the tire. There's little chance of background noise bleeding into the microphones, and that could really add something to the viewers' experience, and make it quite exciting. I wonder if they'll get desperate and bring back the grid girls? F1 needs to come up with some things to add spice to the proceedings. I'll be a little disappointed if they don't come up with anything, and have to scramble over the course of the season to come up with ideas.

I'm actually not looking forward to it but i can't pinpoint exactly why. Maybe it's because i just don't want to be disappointed. I love the way things unfold over a long season in all the motorsport classes i watch and i think hurrying some races into the end of the year with no spectators, to create an atmosphere, to try and create some semblance of a season might not mean as much to me.
I could be wrong and it may create some unforgettably brilliant racing and be amazingly entertaining but it will be over all too soon.

I definitely hope so. But I am okay with not being too eager. Different people have different comfort for disruption in schedule.

They're proposing for the second race at the same track that they will reverse the grid according to who's leading the drivers' championship.
So whoever is leading the drivers' championship will start last on the grid, second will be second last, etc.
Not so sure about that. It does negate the 'foregone conclusion' aspect, I suppose, and will make it cheaper as they won't have to use up so much gas or tires.
Whaddya reckon?
