What a race. After lasts week borefest, F1 needed this. Max was on fire. Also thumbs up for the McLaren duo. Lando’s race was solid and Sainz went from p19 to p8, very good. Gasly, lapped by Max.... and Haas, wtf, super quali but a dreadful race.

Verstappen's extremely poor start and losing 5 positions. Leclerc remaining in commanding position throughout the first 90% of the race. Hamilton gaining places initially only later to fall out of contention. And finally Max closing gap with others throughout the race.

The moment I saw that Vettel and Verstappen were not losing any time to Leclerc, I knew this could become an interesting race. It also made me sad, because Verstappen could have been fighting for the win. After Leclercs pitstop I had hope Verstappen could go for a podium, Leclerc didn't gain any time on him with his fresh tires and the Mercedeses were nowhere near a good pace anymore. Those last 30 laps were amazing. But at the moment Verstappen stalled at the start, I was like, "shit". But damn, it made the race even better.

And he is still only 21, he has plenty of time.

Gasly was forced to use Verstappens set up this weekend and not deviate from it much and he also has the new front wing(he damaged it last GP weekend during practice). Vettel just isnt feeling the car this weekend. Sometimes I think he would be driving better if he was back at Red Bull.

Pretty good race so far (lap 13). 1 was dog fighting 2 and 3 was fighting 4 and 5 was fighting 6 and suddenly 3 to 6 all fighting each other. Leclerc & Max in pits at the same time. Edit - Fuck, what a good job by RedBull crew but Leclerc got the better of Max this time!

Fucking Vettel. It was a good race before that happend. I think it was more than a good race till safety car interfered. I believe Leclerc was unlucky because of safety car and so was Bottas. Hamilton got lucky. But Charles vs Max could become a huge rivalry. Them fighting each other before the safety car was the best part of today's race.

Man, I wanted to see Max on the podium in his James Bond race suit.
