This was like an episode of Wacky Races. Congrats to Hamilton for his 100th win. Its a shame for Norris, but he made a bad call. 20 to 2, thats better than they expected for Max(that almost double take from Lewis was funny). Mercedes plan with Bottas to try and hold up Max didnt do shit and only ruined Bottas his race. Wel done Sainz, 3rd podium of the season. What a crazy finish.

WorldSBK results pretty irrelevant given that young fella's death, but Toprak won both races (good races in any other context) and extended his championship lead to 20. RIP DB Vinales. Thinking of his cousin Maverick. On top of everything else this year, poor bugger.

Well that was a bumper weekend of motor sport! BSB, WSBK, F1 and Indy Car! The racing was good across all four series. The stand out performances for me were Lando in F1 up until his bad call staying out when he should have pitted for inters and Toprak in World Superbikes out classing every one even though he was ill. The obvious opposite to that was the sad death of Dean Berta Vinales, such a young age to have that happen Congrats to Alex Palou on taking this years Indy title. He was just more consistent than the rest and stayed out of trouble more. It's been a bit of strange year with no obvious stand out driver but there have been some brilliant races. Roll on next year.

Yes. It was a fun season and I was obviously happy to see the reigning Australian Touring Car champion Scott McLaughlin take out the rookie of the year too. Toprak's in a zone. Portimao looms large as being the formative round of the season. This is Rea's big chance to get control back of the championship.

Between the many horror films Im watching this month, I did take the time to watch the F1 race. Like some of the films I have watched, it was uneventful.

Yeah it was surprisingly uneventful wasn't it? I was hoping for a repeat of last years race or something better but alas no.
WSBK the week before was a good watch. It's a shame BSB and WSBK clash so much this year because Jamie Witham and Greg Haines are really good commentating together but Whit sticks to BSB when the two are on together and this year we get James Toseland stepping in the Greg and he is utterly useless which spoils the show really. BSB has been really good but i don't really care who wins it, the same goes for MotoGP.

Yuki played a great part there in ensuring that Max took a good lead at the end of the race.

Well, big weekend of racing. MotoGP title decided, F1 at a big moment with the two title contenders qualifying 1,2 for the US Grand Prix and NASCAR's down to the last 8 drivers, 7 of whom can go directly to the championship 4 with a win.

In the MotoGP, dumb race from Ducati. Should have been 1,2 but tried to be clever with their tyre choice taking a different route to everyone else, and neither bike finished the race. Really disappointing for Pecco who had done all the hard work only for the poor tyre choice to let him down when he had the race won. Rossi gets a top 10 in his last race in Italy. Fabio finishes 4th from 15th on the grid. Credit to Marc on the win, but I don't think he catches Miller or Pecco if Ducati got their tactics right.

Yeah, Ducati threw the win away for sure and i agree with you about Marc, i don't think he could have stayed with Pecco when he upped the pace at the end of the race, i think he may have had the measure of Jack though. Hats off to Fabio for being the only person to peddle the Yamaha round fast enough to be in championship contention but i'm disappointed he's won it because i just don't like the kid. Yamaha have done so well this year winning MotoGP, Moto America, BSB and Toprak is looking good for the WSB title. I don't think that's happened before. I didn't find the F1 race that exciting, i never thought Lewis could get past Max if he caught him and was dubious whether he could even get anywhere near him judging from the history of how the Mercedes behaves coming up behind other cars travelling at a similar speed to it so i was just waiting for the race to end. Fair play to them though for being able to stretch away from the rest of the field the way they did!

You'd reckon if Toprak finishes all 3 races in Indonesia he'll be the champion. Will get interesting if he crashes out if a race that Rea wins. Mind you, the way this year's gone, wouldn't be surprised if Rea and Toprak both crashed out once in the last round. It's been that type of year.

And congratulations to Kyle Larson: 2021 Nascar Cup Series Champion!
There really is something to be said for having a championship race. Can't miss tv for me every year.
