Imagine if the prequels came out first and then the OT, and you had Ewan McGregor bitching because Obi-Wan and Yoda are supporting characters and the focus is on Luke and Leia. Uhhh you do realize at the end of return of the Jedi we see a shot of Obi-Wan Anakin Skywalker and Yoda all beside each other so what the hell you talking about? |

And I'm not the only one reading it that way considering the title of the thread. My point bringing up the PT was that, when you factor them in, each trilogy is about the old generation passing the torch to a new one. The ST has about as much Luke/Han/Leia as the OT had Old Ben and Yoda. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'll NEVER understand why Abrams didn't take the opportunity to get them back together, what with all three actors Ford, Fisher and Hamill, all still alive and able.
I know its about the new characters, but they still could'a threw us that one bone.

He was the one who decided that episode VII needed to be a rehash of episode IV. Watch the 2009 " STAR TREK" Movie and then ask yourself if JJ Abrams has "No Original Ideas".
