No, I'm not Catholic, but I believe God exists. Non sequitur. You're not Catholic. You don't even pray the rosary. Stay in your lane, hypocrite. So, the 'silly' guy apparently has presented a question that has stumped those that find the rosary necessary, is that what you're saying? The silly guy asked a question, got an answer, and now he won't let it go.

Yes, I do. Can you answer the question? First, I'll answer your question: No, you do not necessarily have to count your prayers. It is just easier to do so. Now, I will ask you a second question (in regards to your response to my first question): Are you aware that strings of beads, ropes, etc., are actually very common when it comes to praying & meditating in many religions? Yes... non sequitur, and it still doesn't answer the question. Head coverings are very common in religions all over Asia, it still begs the question of whether god pays more attention to those that do or not. The rosary being a counting accessory leads to the question of why prayers should be counted in the first place. Are prayers that are asked without possession of a rosary, much less not quantified, ever answered? Are they more or less likely to be answered merely for grasping beads while doing so?

Can you copy/paste where the answer to my original question " Does god not receive your prayers if you aren't holding your rosary transmitter while chanting?" was posted?

Beads were actually used as tools for prayer and/or meditation BEFORE they were used as jewelry. Speaking personally, while yes, I do use the Rosary beads for when I pray the Rosary, usually, on rare occasions when I do not my Rosary on my person, I have used my fingers, to pray the Rosary. I have little doubt that my fellow Christians have done the same, & probably even people from other religions have done the same, when they do not have their beads on their person too.

I can't really say I'm a fan of the poster who responded, but he told you what the rosary beads are for. The "transmitter" crap is all from you. Good luck trying to find some help on this one.

Buddhists use a mala with 108 beads plus two accessories which aid in the counting. That is how they pray. We, in the Roman Catholic tradition pray the rosary for many reasons. Prayer is not always a matter of supplication. That is a valid but simplistic way of prayer. What Catholics do as acts of devotion, is really not up to you to discern. You are simply here to troll and find fault.

I find it amusing that a guy that pretends to be two different women on an internet forum has the nerve to accuse anything else of being 'fake'.

I just did answer your question. You asked if it was necessary to count prayers. I said 'no,' just makes it easier to do so. No, I asked if it makes a difference to god for you to use a rosary... or quantify prayers. Does it? Yes. God Loves the prayers of the Holy Rosary. Why? Because when we pray the Rosary, we meditate upon the Life, Death, and Resurrection Of His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

God likes those prayers less? That's literally what must follow from your response. Are those that don't pray the rosary yet still pray earning more or less time in purgatory? What are the ultimate ramifications of not praying the rosary? God's wrath?

Nobody said that, or implied it. But, God Loves to hear our prayers, and the Holy Rosary is a beautiful meditation on the Life Of Christ. It strengthens the faith of the Christian in his/her journey with Our Lord Jesus Christ. Back to my original point: many--perhaps MOST--religions use prayer/meditation beads and ropes to focus on their devotion to God or gods. These aid in our time and keeping place in our spiritual practices. Prayer and/or meditation calms the mind. It gives us all balance where and when we need it.

This, of course, makes the most sense, and I agree. God would have no favoritism to one praying the rosary to another not doing so... it is a tool to aid the Christian further strengthen their faith. Thank you.
