He doesn't get the luxury of saying "it's just a movie," unless he spends his time shouting out spoilers for other movies throughout the year. That's true. But that is what he'll say and a lot of people will understand. They might not condone his actions, but if you've never seen a Marvel movie then your first instinct is likely to say so what? Especially in the future, beating somebody up over a movie will make less sense because it was an impulsive emotional response.
This guy was probably banking on regular people going "it's just a movie" and not caring enough to do anything, while the nerds that do care are too big of losers to do anything about it. That's what gets me, the bullying element. He miscalculated because people have 11 years invested in these movies, regular audience and nerds alike. He thought he could ruin everyone's night and yuk his way home. Not this time. I had Infinity War spoiled for me, which probably contributed to why I didn't like it much. While everyone was sh*thing their pants over the ending, I was completely unmoved wishing I hadn't known. How many people wish they could go back in time and not know, say, the Vader twist? Spoiling things is completely sh*tty, and there's nothing to stop assh*Les from doing it. Consider this guy a martyr.

Yeah spoiling things is shitty. Even when we were less trapped as a society it's still a shitty thing to do. Some people are just jerks.

Hey buddy, I saw the movie yesterday so I already know Cap is Iron Man's real father after going back in time and cucking Howard Stark.

Hey buddy, I saw the movie yesterday so I already know Cap is Iron Man's real father after going back in time and cucking Howard Stark. That was the worst bit of the movie for me, when Cap pretended he was going to collect the Infinity Stones so that he could bang everyone's mom. The Russo's could have cut an hour off the running time right there.
