Nope. I'm a road trip guy, away from urban areas & most tourist traps to boot.

I have, once. I have mixed feelings about it. The way I see it, it's kind of a compromise between two very different types of vacation: the one where you just relax, and the one where you explore different new places. One might think "great, it's the best of both worlds" - but it's also the worst of both worlds. As a relaxing vacation, you'd get better value for your money by staying at an all-inclusive resort - in a cruise ship the food is probably just as good, but the rooms are much smaller, the swimming pools are crowded, and there is no beach every day. As a vacation to visit new places, there's the advantage of not having the hassle of getting from one place to the next and changing hotels, but on the other hand you only have very limited time at each stop.

The cruise in the OP sounds exactly like a cruise I went on where I rented out my own cruise ship and it was just me and a bunch of hot models and actresses.

exactly...it's not a relaxing time..you can't just ignore the ports of call...you're there, you just have to see it...no relaxation at all...you have to be back on the ship at a certain time...meals are a certain time (if you eat in the dining rooms)... on my first cruise, there was a couple who took that same cruise EVERY YEAR...and they stayed on the boat and relaxed EVERY YEAR....never even tried a different cruise....that's dedication i guess...

...you have to be back on the ship at a certain time... I just missed the boat when we visited Kefalonia (it helps to pay attention to when the ship actually departs) and had to be taken to the ship by the local port officials and climbed up a rope ladder to get back on board. A passenger later said it looked exciting, a bit like James Bond. I said I felt more like Mr Bean.
