Liverpool did not deserve this scoreline. That wee shite, Messi scored from a lucky rebound and then showed the world how good he really is, with an amazing goal from a free-kick. Liverpool missed Firmino's deft touches around the penalty area, hard as Wijnnaldum tried, he is never a frontman. Can't work out what Klopp was thinking and why dump T-A for Gomez? Joe had a poor game. They never made the most of the Robertson/Mane combo, second half, persisting in attacking down the right. Never mind. There's always next year I disagree. Liverpool deserved the scoreline because they could not finish. You don't win games by playing well and not scoring. Barca could make the same argument for not winning 5-0 as they had two brilliant chances right at the end. As for Messi being lucky, again I disagree. If you watch the replay of the goal, the greatest defender who has ever lived (TM) is in as good as, if not a better, position to get to the rebound than Messi yet he stands and watches while Messi reacts. There is nothing lucky about that.
