It was pretty obvious Lucas had very different ideas when making that first one in the 70s.

Ended up seeing the only theatrical film I hadn’t seen: The Clone Wars (2008). By any standard (prequel fan or not), it’s just a bad movie. It’s easily the worst of the 12.
The whole plot is dependent on selling the idea that Jabba the Hutt is vital for the outcome of the Clone Wars and I didn’t buy it for a second. Likewise, the plot about his son didn’t work. I didn’t dislike Asoka like I was expecting. She and the other characters were...passable. Obviously, they develop better in the series. I just wasn’t invested in ANYTHING that was happening in this. Just plain boring.
That said, I’m happy I finally saw it: I can say I’ve seen all 12 movies.

On my last doctor visit 2 weeks ago, I found out that he is a huge Star Wars fan, he's 50 and I'm almost 74 so we started talking about Star Wars until the nurse came in and reminded him he had other patients - I was just in for a semi annual check up and had nothing health wise to tell him. Star Wars sometimes bring people a little closer. My old man, WKD, is not a Star Wars fan, he doesn't get it. He's a sports nut.

I wonder if RotJ had been done as Lucas originally planned, and Luke's sister was not Leia, but some other woman, Nelleth, out in the galaxy somewhere, what she'd be/look like and who they would've gotten to play her? And would the twin thing have been more obvious than 5'0 brunette and 5'9 blonde?
