I think almost everyone of some importance is in the movie.
Except for Agent Coulson.

Because Joss Whedon ruined him.

I think almost everyone of some importance is in the movie. Except for Agent Coulson. He's dying. Season 4 they had Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes & Phil allowed the rider to use him to get the bad guy who had the Darkhold so he spent Season 5 keeping it a secret, but at the end of the season he & Agent May went off together to spend his last few weeks together . Happy?

Because Harry Potter already killed him.

I'm not in the majority; I don't understand the love and fixation for Agent Coulson. I don't dislike him. He's fine. But it took several viewings of The Avengers to wrap my mind around his death factoring in their motivation to do right by the world, and I just don't see it.
I accept that others do so I don't fight it, but it's not an affection that fell naturally into my lap.

Then you do not understand Stark. Thor was in the fight because of his brother. Cap, the soldier, was also in the fight. Widow was following orders. Hawkeye, once free, wanted revenge. The ONLY one who needed a reason to fight was Stark, the one who felt a connection to Phil. So Coulson died for Tony Stark to become an Avenger

He died in the first Avengers movie. Didn't you see it? But they had a potion made from Kree blood that revived him.

It's Coulson who I don't have the feels for. I understand Stark's connection with him better than I understand the fans. At least Stark's connection with him is scripted.

Oh my god, I love Phil Coulson. He is so dry, like that tase you & watch Supernanny line. Did you see Thor? He's like THE companyman. Go where SHIELD sends him. Have you seen the one-shots?

Not at the time I didn't. I actually just saw those recently for the first time. The one with Thor as a roommate too.

Coulson is more accessible

Time line wise an appearance from Coulson wouldn't work: in 2012, during & following the Battle of NY, Coulson hadn't yet been revived; I'm not sure if Coulson was yet born in the 1970s, if he was he'd be a young boy, and as for the scenes in present day, being 2023, that'd be 5 years after AoS season 5 ended and Coulson is supposed to have died for good at the end of season 5 - although it's left open ended.
