My best friend had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Docs gave him a 10% chance of survival. Medical treatments were largely ineffective. They eventually just sent him home and told him to get his affairs in order. Cancer went into remission soon afterwards and has stayed in remission ever since. It's now considered cured. I'm not into the whole holistic thing, but the body can do amazing things when it isn't being polluted with unnatural ingredients. Hang in there, itsmagic. Your signature isn't just a signature. I wish you all the best.

Resolve. my prayers to all so afflicted and their precious caregivers. families. i've got a few things to say before i'm done.

As admin says hang in there dude ok. got cbd oil. that stuff works on your endocannabinoid system. tied to your immunity system. i was telling a group of young doctors things they never learned in medical school. combined with thc (cbd) the two compounds cause cancer to cut off it's own blood supply. then it has no choice but to consume itself. thanks bro rock on

Can only speak for myself, but if I get cancer, which I certainly hope I don't, what be good for me would be a very quick death.

I have no children. I'm 67 years old, and chasing women is no longer a desire. There are some things I enjoy (sports, movies, TV), but I don't believe the things I enjoy are worth battling for life.

I've heard really good things about the curcumin, which is said to be a very powerful anti-inflammatory that will cross the blood/brain barrier. Deeznutz mentioned Rick Simpson's Phoenix Tears, and I've heard that the hemp oil is very effective in the shrinkage of tumors. I've also heard some really good things about B17, and it's said that the seeds from a few apples will supply enough for a daily dosage, but I'd check into that, and probably look into a more practical form.
About once a month or so, there is a pharmacist on the late night radio program coast to coast, that often discusses natural healing methods; I think his name is Ben fuks or something along those lines. Seems to me that he mentioned something to the effect of a very pure and effective form of the curcumin, but I'm totally going from memory. Personally speaking, I don't have much faith in the conventional treatments after seeing what they did to my dad.
Best of luck itsmagic.

thank you. i have found the book a prescription for nutritional healing to be invaluable. available at vitamin shoppes. i take turmeric/curcumin , olive leaf, bilberry, burdock, bromelain, garlic(deodorized), red clover, pau darco, mushroom complex. clean the blood. reduce inflammation -which is part of how cancer grows and spreads. create the most inhospitable environment for cancer. ride my bikes or go to the ocean for aerobics. surf or boogieboard for fun and to lift my spirits.

in my struggle against cancer i have found that it thrives in an acidic environment(proven medical fact). so i try to keep my body alkaline(not acidic). certain foods are good for that. avoiding sugar is essential because it feeds on sugar. please share some of your ideas as well. i will post more things I am very saddened and shocked to hear this, itsmagic, I am so sorry!! My list includes the following; Berries, fruits and vegetables, herbs, nuts & seeds, traditional teas, fish, healthy oils, & organic food. I´ve heard that Spirlulina is considered incredibly healthy and is known for its cancer fighting abilities, but I have not consumed it personally so consulting with a doctor before taking it would be important. I´ve also had good experiences with Maca powder, but again, consulting a professional nutritionist first would be best I think. Olive oil and avocado oil are oils I use on a daily basis and they are healthy and I also consume this Paleo Coconut crunch muesli and that is quite on par with our topic because it contains nuts, honey, coconut and dried berries, so it is tasty, but healthy as well. Berries are super foods and especially blueberries, strawberries & Avocado are close to my heart as well as unsweetened organic cranberry juice. In regards to vegetables, green leafy vegetables like kale and broccoli come to mind. Herbs are always important to consume on a daily basis and ginger tea is a favorite of mine and also turmeric and garlic like you mentioned as well as basil, oregano, thyme and parsley. When speaking of fruits, pomegranate is my personal suggestion because it contains so much c-vitamin and is loaded with important nutrients and plant compounds with powerful medicinal properties.
Getting enough vitamin is of course vital and also that the one consumes food as versatile as possible. Avoiding excessive sugar is highly important, too. Exercising on a daily basis is said to lower risk of cancer.
An edited side note; dark chocolate is said to be very healthy as well and my personal suggestion is Goodio dark organic raw chocolate. My favorite taste of those is blueberry with a 61% cacao content.

The alkali/sugar approach is a good way to start. Curry (curcumin, turmeric) is a must for me daily (I'm a cancer survivor; prostate, the easiest to treat), and this accompanied by black pepper works even better. Vitamin D up to 2,000 IU daily. At least a cup of ginger tea daily (or a capsule). It's chemically similar to curcumin, excellent for pain and inflammation, among many other ailments. There are support groups for alternate and complementary rx's for cancer. Beware of charlatans, hucksters and the like. Avoid sites that feature one person pushing a particular brand. Groups with message boards are a godsend, as it gives you perspective. Yahoo groups seem better than most, but by all means shop around. Another thing: limits meat and dairy intake. Fish is healthier than meat. Soy products fine. Fermented soy,--tempeh, my favorite--works better than regualr soy. As the leader of my cancer support group says at beginning of every meeting: the best patient is the educated patient. I wish you the best of luck, itsmagic
